I would always look forward to the next visit to my relative's house as I get to meet my cousins once again. Due to our hectic schedules, my family hardly has the time to gather together and have a meal together as a family. But during the Lunar New Year festival, it is the time where families gather together and have reunion dinners together. This also helps to bring distant cousins whom I have not met in a while and that will increase the relationship amongst us. Reunion dinners also allow me to catch up with my cousins or my family members as we do not usually see each other.During the dinners, the heart to heart conversation we have together as a family also gives me a sense of belonging and that is something I truly enjoy. My mother used to say that traditions are our roots and it keeps our family together. I agree with this statement to a certain extent as there are some traditions that are meaningful. However, some are mundane and uneccessary hence, i would want to let it go.
