Lots of people means lots of hands to build shelters, but that means more mouths to feed. The two kids. Shen and Mei in the Liu family watch survival shows and know how to survive. They are also physically athletic because the story states," Shen and Mei are nimble as mountain goats." The Liu family has advantages against the other families because the Walpole family goes to fancy places and expects people to give them food and stuff, not find it themselves; they are not fit to survive in the wild. When Oliver is talking about making a fire, Mrs.Walpole is worrying about her. The Walpole family is DEFINITELY not going to win. On the other hand, the Garcia family only has two people, Mr. Garcia and Gabriela. The only adult in their group, Mr. Garcia, has been living in the same town doing the same job for 20 years. Even in the beginning of the show, Mr. Garcia already has a painful ankle and they are moving slowly. The girl Gabriela watches survival shows but the book doesn't say if she has any physical talents. Even if she does, the Liu family has two of those plus two adults. Therefore, the Liu should win. Go Liu's!

Even with Mr. and Mrs.Liu  being all about the television and looking nice they'll all stick together and win Washed Up! Though, with the more mouths to feed and family to take care of, they will run out of food quickly. Even they have said so in the book, "The Lui's weren't having it easy either. There was only enough bread, cheese, and raisins to last one day, if they ate frugally." I the beginning they also you the phrase, " As nimble as a mountain goats" referring to Shen and Mei while the are climbing the "Snow-covered volcano." From my point of view, I think the Lui's will win. First of all, they have special connections since Mr. Garcia raised Gabriela on his own. In addition, Gabriela is very knowledgeable on how to survive in the wilderness (because of watching different survival shows, such as Washed Up!), and that helped them gain extra food while trudging through water, creating their strong shelter, and removing Papa's sprained ankle from the tangled tree roots. Plus, I think their supplies will last longer since they only have two people in their family. They also have advantages against the other families, because they have very big fatal flaws. For the Walpoles, they have no exposure to anything except luxury hotels, and the only tools they use are shampoo and soap! The Liu's, however, have multiple flaws. First off, their supplies won't last, their parents are camera crazy, and they get in family fights. Based off of the evidence, I think that the Gracia's will win it all. Go Gracia's!
