Salam - that is how Muslims are supposed to do to interact and communicate with each others

From Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Ash RA said :

أنَّ رجلًا سأَل النبيَّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم : أيُّ الإسلامِ خيرٌ ؟ قال : ( تُطعِمُ الطعامَ، وتَقرَأُ السلامَ، على مَن عرَفتَ، وعلى مَن لم تَعرِفْ )

Meaning : " A man asked The Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessing of Allah be upon him ) : which Islam is the best? The prophet ( peace and blessing of Allah be upon him ) said : You feed, greet those you know and those you don't know. " [Narrated by Al-Bukhari, no Hadith 11, 27, 5767 and in the narrated by Muslim, no Hadith 56 ]

Ibadah - always put the intention to learn knowledge is to because of Allah, never study only to pass the exam !

Surah Al- Baqarah Ayah 30

˹Remember˺ when your Lord said to the angels, “I am going to place a successive ˹human˺ authority on earth.” They asked ˹Allah˺, “Will You place in it someone who will spread corruption there and shed blood while we glorify Your praises and proclaim Your holiness?” Allah responded, “I know what you do not know.”

3. Khairul Ummah ( The best ummah )

You are the best community ever raised for humanity—you encourage good, forbid evil, and believe in Allah. Had the People of the Book believed, it would have been better for them. Some of them are faithful, but most are rebellious.

• This ayah highlights that Muslim are described as the best community.

  • This status is not automatic but based on 3 conditions

  1. Enjoining what is right ( Amar Makruf )

  2. Forbidding what is wrong ( Nahi Mungkar )

  3. Believing in Allah

• This verse emphasize the responsibility of Muslims to upholds justice, morality and faith.

• It shows the role of Muslims as a model and guiding community for mankind.

During this week, we learnt about the detail about the obligatory to believe in The Messenger, the Doomsday and Qada' & Qadar.

1. The Messenger

• He deliver the messages of Allah instead of forcing people to be a Muslim

• Call the monotheism where Allah is the only God that is deserve to be worshipped

• Always ask Allah for forgiveness by istighfar

• Disbelief leads to punishment like how Prophet Nuh AS were hit by a great big flood.

• Patience of a Messenger has to be an example for human - Prophet Nuh has been preached for more than 950 years.

• Nabi = gets revelation while The Messenger = gets revelation and deliver dakwah.

2. The Doomsday

   • Minor signs would be dishonesty spreads, knowledge decrease, people compete for wealth, children disobey parents

   • Major signs will be the appearance of Dajjal, return of Prophet Isa AS, the sun rising from the west, Ya'juj and Ma'juj, huge smoke and the blowing of the Trumpet by Angel Israfil.

   • Doomsday shows that the world is not parmanent

   • It reminds human to prepare with faith and good deeds before the final destination

3. Qada' and Qadar

   • Qada' means something that has been set by Allah since Luh Mahfuz

   • Qadar means measure or detail or the implementation of Allah's provisions

   • Example : Qada' is all human will die while Qadar is the date of humans death

• More females than males

• Earthquakes increased

• Many good doings will be rejected

• Female singer increases and music tools become more popular

• Humans believe in astrology

• Time pass so fast

• Arab country will become green

• Imam Mahdi

• Unfortunate people race to build tall buildings

- Dajjal existed (jinn x human) 100 years before the birth of Nabi Musa, lived in an island

- Dajjal didn't want milk and always sleep, always caused his mom's breast to be swollen and unusually hotnd unusually hot

- 2 months later his mom died, Dajjal will deceive people - make it rain and give choices and revive dead families

- The sun rises from the west

1. Personal Growth

   • I do feel my faith is getting stronger because I keep getting curious about what I learnt in Usrah.

   • I also feel like I just discovered some facts about Islam that I didn't knew before especially some hadith that I have never heard about.

2. Challeges faced

   • During Friday, I find it very hard to be consistent (but I am still consistent being there during Usrah) because I have only have 1 class in Friday. The urge to continue sleeping was BIG.

   • Usrah takes places at 12PM so it gets pretty hot but I think that is no longer a problem because the venue changed to a place nearer our Mahallah.

Improvement suggestions

1. Usrah should be held in a cooler and comfortable places. Maybe somewhere that has some tables and chair.

2. Due to Usrah is running at 12PM, I do think mineral water is a must so that people can stay hydrated.

3. 5 minutes break! Maybe when Usrah Assistant just finished a topic. While waiting to enter the next topic, maybe a break is good!

Additionally, we learned about The Acquisition of Hikmah! and played our first quizzes of the Usrah!

SAWM (2:183) - "O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you¹—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of Allah˺."

ZAKAH (9:103) - "Take from their wealth ˹O Prophet˺ charity to purify and bless them, and pray for them—surely your prayer is a source of comfort for them. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing."

HAJJ (2:197) - "˹Commitment to˺ pilgrimage is made in appointed months.¹ Whoever commits to ˹performing˺ pilgrimage, let them stay away from intimate relations, foul language, and arguments during pilgrimage. Whatever good you do, Allah ˹fully˺ knows of it. Take ˹necessary˺ provisions ˹for the journey˺—surely the best provision is righteousness. And be mindful of Me, O  people of reason!"

Conditions of Acceptance - Islam, Pure from hadath, Pure from najis, Cover Awrah, Facing the Qiblah and Prayer performed within its time.

3. Application of Salah based on situation

• Jama' & Qasar

  • when you are travelling for more than 80-90km

  • you are outside of your hometown

  • travel is permissible for halal purpose

• Nawafil

  • anytime outside prohibited times

  • to gain extra reward

  • to strengthen khusyu' and iman

  • to cover shortcomings in fard prayers

• During illnesses

  • when standing causes pain, harm or delays healing

  • movement is limited

  • water usage worsens the illnesses

General Benefits include :

1. Strengthen relationship with Allah

2. Shapes inner character (akhlaq)

3. Prevents sinful behaviour

In Surah Al-Baqarah 2:45 - "And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is a burden except for the humble—"

Khusyu' helps us with

• Al-Taah (Submission & Loyalty)

• Al-Jihad (Striving in the Path of Allah)

• Muhasabah (Self Reflection)

• Iffah (Modesty & Self Restraint)

• Tawaddu (Humility)

1. "O believers!"

• the subject of this verse can only be done by a person of faith

• to show that correct faith is a condition for the validity of this
