There are several types of hunting, each one you need "abilities" and supplies. There is firearms (shotguns, rifles, muzzle loader, etc.), bow and arrow, and trapping. They all consist of their own challenges and necessary skills to have a bountiful hunt. For example bow hunting a bow cant shoot as far as a rifle can. So you need to get closer to the intended target to be successful with the hunt. When you are trapping you need to know your land to be able to place your traps in areas where it will be populated in order to be successful.

Humans have been hunting since the beginning of time. Before us humans, animals would use hunting for survival and needed resources. We have used it as our main sources of nutrients for thousands of years. But even has time has gone on, hundreds of millions of people still rely on hunting and gathering as their many sources of food and supplies.

There is a wide variety of where you can hunt. Every location that you hunt at provides you with different popular game. Trapping tends to be most popular in areas like Alaska, or places where it is colder for longer. It is common in these areas because it helps to prevent the meat from rotting. A lot of people hunt in wooded areas or in areas that are near corn fields. Due to the fact that deer are drawn to the corn and to the wooded areas because they are able to hide in the woods better. They also like to hide in swamp areas.

The timing of hunting varies, and is based off of the type of hunting that is involved. The most common time for white tail deer hunting is the first hour within the first hour or two hours after sunrise. As well as mid day, and within the first hour before sun down. Every branch of hunting has its own season. Firearm hunting for deer is the first three weeks of November. Bow season for hunting is august through September. Trapping season varies based on the animal that you are hunting. Hunters try to preserve their animal as long as they can so that it can last throughout the year.

Tagging Your Animal

Tagging your animal is mandatory in all forms of hunting, no matter where you are, or no matter where you are hunting. In order to tag your animals you have to buy a license before the season starts. When you do that you are given a tag, or a certain number of tags, which is the only amount of prey that you can retrieve. If you retrieve more then the amount that you are allowed to you are considered a poacher. You can also get a very large fine, your hunting license revoked, your firearm license to be taken, and your firearms removed from your possession. The DNR can also take all of the animals that you have taken. They will donate the animals to charity. Poaching is very easy to get away with and that is why it is such a problem these days. There are many forms of punishment that come with poaching. It is highly illegal to poach an animal. It is best to be aware of the regulations when it comes to hunting, and to follow the regulations

When hunting safety is a major concern, and is something that needs to be very aware of and followed by. For firearm deer hunting it is required it is required that you wear blaze orange. In recent turns of events, it has been determined that blaze pink is an eligible color for firearm hunting. It is also necessary to keep warm due to the fact that most hunting seasons fall dead in the middle of winter. When you are hunting you are often up to twenty feet in the air with nothing blocking the wind and the weather like snow and rain that is surrounding you.
