1. Create a book mark to celebrate the World Book Day within our eTwinning Project "Co-Shaping Peace".

Think out of the box and feel free to shape your book mark as you fancy, but DON'T use any graphic design tools:

You must do it with your own hands!

2. Instead of using digital tools, you might want to...

2.1. Do a handmade drawing or painting and then take a picture of your artistic creation so that you can upload it onto this padlet by clicking on the granate plus button.

2.2. Needless to say you can also let your imagination fly by experimenting with knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, paper collages...

1. Crea un punto de lectura para celebrar el Día Mundial del Libro en el marco del Proyecto eTwinning Co-Shaping Peace.

Atrévete a pensar "fuera de la caja" y deja volar tu imaginación, pero NO utilices apps de diseño gráfico para diseñar tu punto de lectura: Tienes que trabajar con tus propias manos!

2. Tal vez te apetecerá...

2.1. Hacer un dibujo con lápices de colores, dibujar a tiza o pintar a la acuarela para luego hacerle una foto a tu obra de arte y poder subirla al padlet clicando sobre el botón + que ves abajo a la derecha.

2.2. Ni que decir tiene que también puedes dejar volar tu imaginación haciendo ganchillo, crochet, bordando, cosiendo, haciendo collages de papel...

Versuch mal "out of the box" zu denken. Du darfst dein Lesezeichen so gestalten, wie es dir am besten gefällt, aber bitte: KEINE design tools! Du musst es selbst machen bzw. basteln!

Rules for our Bookmarks-for-Peace Competition in Catalan Sign Language

"Peace is not just the absence of war, it is the presence of justice, empathy and dialogue in every action we take."

And a short sentence that goes: "We need peace".

Este es mi punto de libro. El mensaje que quiero transmitir es que: ¡La Paz es Vida!

Hola, aquest és el meu punt de llibre. He volgut representar una part de la història de sant Jordi, quan sant Jordi i el drac s'enfronten en una lluita. En el meu punt de llibre en comptes de barallar sant Jordi allibera el colom de la pau posant fi a la guerra amb el drac.

Hola, este es mi punto de libro. He querido representar una parte de la historia de sant jordi, cuando él se enfrenta contra el dragón en una pelea. En vez de pelearse sant Jordi libera la paloma de la paz poniendo fin a la guerra que hay en el pueblo. La traducción de la frase de abajo es: No hay caminos hacia la paz, la paz es el camino.

The design of this bookmark is inspired by the copywriting, which says: Peace is like a rainbow, it always appears after the rain. What I want to explain is: this means that peace usually comes after difficulties, it is precious and short-lived, and we need to cherish and protect it.

Hola, aquest és un punt de llibre que vaig fer jo mateixa.

El disseny d'aquest punt de llibre està inspirat en la còpia, que diu: "La pau és com un arc de Sant Martí, sempre apareix després de la pluja." El que vull explicar és: això vol dir que la pau sol venir després de les dificultats, és preciosa i de curta durada, i l'hem d'estimar i protegir.

El disseny de l'arc de Sant Martí al marcador es va dibuixar perquè apareixia al text. La papallona simbolitza la llibertat aportada per la pau, i les flors representen la sang de la guerra. Vaig cremar la vora del full per representar la destrucció provocada per la guerra, i la superfície groguenca representa la història.

Aquest punt de llibre significa molt per a mi perquè sempre em trobo amb persones que discriminen les races a la meva vida diària. Aquest punt de llibre és la meva pregària.

In my bookmark there is a rose for Sant Jordi and the symbol of peace because I believe that love and peace are one of the best feelings that anyone can have.

He fet un punt de llibre on podeu observar unes roses que floreixen d'un llibre en moviment. Les roses representen totes aquelles emocions i tot alló que ens aporta la lectura. I el llibre representa el que anomenem com literatura.

A la part de darrere, podem veure un vers del llibre del petit príncep en anglès, que fa referència a la constància en relació amb el valor dels nostres productes, com pot ser en aquest cas, una rosa. Te molt a veure amb la escriptura, tot el treball que hi ha darrere de cada text, de cada llibre.

El fet de que el llibre sigui el petit princep, fa referència a l'infància de gairebé tothom, que ens ha aportat molts dels nostres valors. El vers tambè te a veure amb l'ilustració en tots els sentits.

I made a bookmark where you can see roses blooming from a moving book. The roses represent all those emotions and everything that reading brings us. And the book represents what we call literature.

On the back, we can see a verse from the book The Little Prince in English, which refers to constancy in relation to the value of our products, as it can be in this case, a rose. It has a lot to do with writing, all the work that goes into each text, each book.

He dibuixat els personatges principals de  la llegenda de Sant Jordi perquè ensenya que amb valentia i bones accions es pot acabar amb la violència. La rosa que surt representa la pau.

En aquest punt de llibre es combinen dos símbols: la pau i l’amor per la cultura.

A la part frontal, hi ha un colom amb una branca d’olivera, símbol universal de la pau, i, al costat del colom, hi ha una rosa que representa la tradició de Sant Jordi.

A la part del darrere, hi ha petites flors seques que fan reflexar al missatge la bellesa i la fragilitat de la pau.

Català: He creat aquest punt de llibre amb la idea de transmetre un missatge de pau i amor. He dibuixat un drac que, en lloc de ser ferotge, somia amb una princesa, un príncep i símbols de pau. Amb això vull mostrar que fins i tot els éssers que semblen perillosos poden triar viure en harmonia. A més, he afegit una frase important: “No hi ha camí per la pau, la pau és el camí”, perquè crec que la pau no és només un objectiu, sinó una manera de viure cada dia. Amb colors vius i dibuixos alegres, vull transmetre valors com el respecte, la convivència i l’amor.

Hello, here is my bookmark with a drawing of a dinosaur and a flower that represents love and friendship and something about Sant Jordi.

Mi punt de libre represents a red rose and also represents the great festival of Sant Jordi that is celebrated in Catalonia, which is a way of celebrating love by giving roses to the people you love.

I made a rose because it symbolizes love and peace on Sant Jordi.

Per fer-lo únic, vaig retallar un cercle i dins vaig posar flors seques amb purpurina. A baix vaig afegir una papallona. A la part posterior, vaig utilitzar colors més intensos, vaig repetir el disseny a la cantonada, vaig posar "Sant Jordi" en color negre i vaig dibuixar el drac de Sant Jordi amb un llibre i una rosa. Al final, hi ha l'any 2025.

My bookmark is mint green. At the corners, there are pieces of pink paper and another with a grid pattern. The corners are decorated with a black design, and at the top, there are three roses. A little lower, there is a text in Catalan about Sant Jordi. Then, a large rose with the word "Sant Jordi" underneath.

To make it unique, I cut out a circle and placed dried flowers with glitter inside. At the bottom, I added a butterfly. On the back, I used more intense colors, repeated the design at the corner, added "Sant Jordi" in black, and drew the Saint George dragon with a book and a rose. Finally, there is the year 2025.

My bookmark is some books for reading, a rose for Sant Jordi and the symbol of peace so that there is peace in the world.

En el meu punt de llibre he posat el nom de Sant Jordi, també unes ales de colom que representen la pau i un casc de cavaller com el de Sant Jordi. Sant Jordi és una festa a Catalunya per celebrar la cultura, els llibres, l'amor i la pau.

Sant Jordi is a great party in Catalonia to celebrate culture, books, love and the peace.

This is my bookmark design about peace. I wanted it to be as colourful as it could be because a peaceful world means happines to me. So without colours, happines would be a distant dream. I also used the basics of the peace theme such as an olive branch, a white bird, a peace symbol etc.

One day, I decided to create a small project to represent peace around the world.

First, I drew a picture of the Earth because I believe peace should include everyone.

Then I chose the words "Paz," "Peace," and "Frieden," to show peace in different languages.

I decorated around them with hearts, stars, and flowers, because where there is peace, there is love and beauty.

At the bottom, I wrote a sentence I chose myself:

"Where there is peace, there is joy."

While making this project, I used my imagination and wanted to send a little message of hope to the world.

Instructions:

3. Divide the bookmark into several horizontal sections by drawing wavy lines across it.

4. In each section, write the word "peace" in different languages:

   • "PAZ" (Spanish)

   • "PEACE" (English)

   • "FRIEDEN" (German)

5. At the top section, draw a peace symbol (a circle with three lines inside).

6. At the bottom section, draw an olive branch to represent peace.

7. Optionally, you can color in or decorate the drawings to make them more vivid.

What I did was buy a cardboard, a yellow one to be exact, and then get some glue. Once I'd gathered most of the materials, I just had to come up with a quote about peace. I couldn't come up with one. Then I suddenly remembered what my father said to me when I was little:

"You should always bring peace to wherever you are." That's it! I immediately wrote that one. Thats about it, see you!

The other side shows children from around the world holding hands around a globe, with the words, "Peace is the same feeling in every language," followed by the word "peace" in different languages.

This is a handmade bookmark designed to promote peace and love for the world.
