The objectives that I need to focus on is verbal communication since it is still a different language from my main language so I have to improve the speed at which I speak it a lot and incidentally not say so much “umm'', “emm” between the words, the second would be my eye contact, because whenever I talk to someone I prefer to look elsewhere, and finally my third objective would be to expand my vocabulary.

One of the objectives that I would like to focus on perfecting is the interaction with other people; lately I don't get so nervous talking to someone, but nevertheless sometimes I can't find a way not to make a conversation sharp. My second objective to improve would be non-verbal communication, that is to say physically when I speak I usually move my hands a lot, and it is something that I have been told a lot and I feel that it is okay to move them but not too much.

· What do people tell you that you are good at? Do you agree? Why or why not.

People often say that I am good at dancing. I believe that I am good, since I was 3 years old I started doing dances in my school and even in high school I auditioned and went to the official dance group of the school; also dancing is a hobby for me. After so many years from practice I consider that I am good at dancing.

· How did you choose your career or area of study? When did you realize you had talent or ability in this area? What do you think influenced your decision?

I chose to study accounting because it has a lot to do with mathematics and it is one of the things I like the most. I realized that I had a talent for this when during my school years I saw that my math, algebra, statistics and other classes always passed with high grades, and it was not difficult for me to solve these equations. I am not going to deny that money had a bit of an influence, knowing that studying something that I was going to like would generate good money, helped me lean towards this career.

· What one person has had the greatest impact on the way you are today? Explain.

I say that the person who has influenced my life the most is my mother. She has always told me to follow my dreams, she encourages me to continue doing what I like, and she sets an example of never giving up. She has been like my role model; she never minimizes my achievements and she always makes me feel like I am the best person in the world.

1.Of the five conflict management strategies, is there one that you use more often than others? Why or why not?

I feel that accommodating is the conflict I use the most. Ever since I can remember I try very hard to make other people feel good or not feel uncomfortable.

2.Do you think people are predisposed to one style over the others based on their personality or other characteristics? If so, what personality traits do you think would lead a person to each style?

I think that everyone has their own style and there is no style that predominates more than another.

3. Of the conflict triggers discussed (demands, cumulative
annoyance, rejection, one-upping, and mindreading) which one do you find most often triggers a negative reaction from you?

I think that Cumulative annoyance could bring out my negative part. I am a person who puts up with things and in the end I end up "exploding" due to so much accumulated anger.

4. What strategies can you use to better manage the trigger and more effectively manage conflict?

I must manage my level of annoyance and occasionally let some steam out of the pressure cooker by processing their frustration with someone I trust.

During all this time I have learned about myself that the more effort and patience I put into things clearly, the same way I will see my results, likewise during this semester I learned about how communication can be very important in our lives since I always I have been a very reserved person and therefore my social circle has always been very small, but during my classes I learned how both verbal and non-verbal communication is important to maintain good communication.
I have noticed a lot of growth in the fluency with which I speak. I am Latina and therefore English is not my first language, so it has been difficult for me during these years to be able to speak fluently, but nevertheless with this class I have had to speak a little more and I have had to learn better about communication , so it has helped me to flow a little more and of course every day I will learn more and more about the English language until it becomes easy for me to communicate in this language. I feel that speaking fluently will help me a lot in my future to get a job in a high position, since that has always been my goal, to be in a high position as a manager, so I eat better than being bilingual.

From the moment one arrives in the United States, being a sender, that is, who sends the message and who is the receiver who receives the message, has been complicated since my nationality, the place where I was born and I am a citizen is Colombia and our native language is Spanish therefore the English language has been my obstacle to be able to communicate.
It has happened to me a lot at work that I am a pseudo-listening person, I pretend that I am listening and understanding what they say in english and the only thing I do is nod my head or make an expression with my face, that is, I use the kinesics that It is basically the corporal expression and, of course, it has been sad because many times it only needs an answer, not a smile.
