https://padlet.com/SMCC/q21o5w8ywa02 We've had quite a few issues with Easy pay lately, and it's taken some time to determine what the problems and resolutions are. Here's what I have so far: in some cases, our patrons' cards are being declined--this can be for many different reasons and I don't have specific information available to determine this. So, when this happens, I will contact the patron and let him/her know that a new form of payment needs to be made. Another thing that is happening is that the card number is not being read in SportsMan. Again, I don't have specifics, but when this happens, I'll call the patron personally. Just so that you are all in the loop (because you're our front line), I've created internal codes. If a card has been decline, the code in SportsMan will be D100. If there is a problem with the card number, the code is A100. When speaking to the patron, please be discrete, courteous, and professional. Above all, though, please convey proper information, as that is part of your job description. One last thing, if you are with a patron and you don't understand an issue, it is not OK to call me and automatically hand the phone to the patron. This is a demonstration of poor customer service, and I'm not OK with that. If the patron would like to speak with me, you all know my number. You may direct them to my office or give them my card.
