Paul seemed to be following her home from work. Some guys at her work have him talking to her, but this only worked for some time. This would even happen when she was out of town shopping.

She says he went out of his way to be assertive.

He was very rude to another worker as well. He had groped her crotch at one point and threw onions in her face. She beat him up for this and was then fired.

On June 26th, the police, as well as 400 volunteers, thoroughly searched the Cal Poly area. They use Cadaver dogs (dogs used to detect human remains).

On June 29th, these Cadaver dogs were let into every dorm room at Cal Poly. They walked calmly up and down the hallways and walked through two entire buildings without showing any interest. Inside Santa Lucia Hall one of the dogs alerts her handler right outside of the locked room, 128. A second dog scratches at the same door half an hour later, and, finally, a third dog is let in and scratches at the same door outside of room 128. All three of the dogs are let in independently and all alert to the corner of a mattress on the left side of the room.

His roommate said Paul claimed he walked with Kristen to the dorm. He also said that Paul joked around that Kristen was in his mother's house and later told police officers, after the investigation, that he had to leave to clean some things up in his mother's room.
