For 5th graders, it's especially important at this point in the year when we start to see a shift in behavior. Relationships are key!

1. I will not accept items that are being given away/donated, if I do not have an active plan or idea for them.  A lot of times, I just take what is donated just to have, without a purpose or real need.  
2. I want to move with my kiddos.  Move around the classroom monitoring.  Move while I'm teaching.  Move during planning and get things checked of my list instead of on my phone or computer.  Move and play with my kiddos in the classroom or outside.

I would like whatever I do to be genuinely me. I want to give genuine love to my kids. I want to be genuine in my feedback with others as well as when I receive feedback. In the hallways, I'm always very friendly but I know that it does not always come from a genuine place--especially before I've had my coffee. I may be greeting someone just to say something instead of meaning what I say. I don' want to try something new simply because someone else tried it first--I want it to represent ME.
