I really liked this poem because I can resonate with it well, it is about how this person went back to school expecting it to be very different or alien, and not be the same place it was. However, the author writes about how it was surprisingly similar and felt the same as it did with minimal change. The tone of the poem is definitely hopeful, or just happy in general. I believe this because of phrases used such as "What I thought would be different was almost the same."
