Achievements:

-Appointed as School Prefect at SMS Seri Puteri, I was entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining discipline, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and representing the interests of my peers. This leadership role allowed me to develop strong organizational and communication skills while promoting the values of the school and acting as a role model for other students.

-Received the Dean's List Award for exceptional academic achievement in both the first and second semester for my degree.

-Served as the Bureau of Entrepreneurship in the Finance Club, where I spearheaded initiatives to foster innovation, coordinated entrepreneurial workshops, and collaborated with peers to develop business strategies to increase my club’s profit.

Career Goals:

Gain Practical Experience through Internships, part-time jobs, or apprenticeships with banks, financial institutions, or corporate finance departments will help me to apply classroom knowledge and build a strong connection with finance industry.

Skills Development:

-Good in word, excel, powerpoint and financial modelling software (e.g., Excel, Tableau).

- Developing the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and balance academic work with extracurricular activities.

-Time Management Workshops: Learning techniques such as the Pomodoro technique or time-blocking to improve productivity.

While working as a booth promoter for a fashion brand, I acquired important skills in sales, customer service, and brand representation. I interacted with potential customers, described product features, and showcased the brand's newest collections at different events and shopping centers.

This lesson showed me how to communicate well with various individuals, understand their requirements, and adapt my methods for a better customer service outcome. I honed my persuasive abilities by showcasing the distinctive features of fashion items and motivating customers to buy, all while upholding the brand's identity.

I further developed my skills in time management and multitasking in a busy setting by juggling interactions with several customers, addressing inquiries, overseeing inventory, and maintaining an attractive display at the booth. These situations enabled me to develop resilience and adaptability, which are crucial abilities in a professional setting.

This position also improved my interpersonal and networking skills, which will be beneficial in any future job, such as finance. Having the ability to effectively communicate with customers and comprehend their requirements will be beneficial in handling clients or stakeholders within the financial sector.

In my Financial Modeling class, I gained skills in constructing intricate Excel models, enhancing my analytical skills. This ability was strengthened even more in a group assignment where we had to assess a company's value and provide investment suggestions. The project enhanced my skills in analyzing data, making conclusions, and effectively communicating them to my peers, which will be essential in my future as a financial analyst.

In the future, I plan to utilize these skills in practical settings by participating in internships and making connections through networking. My skill in analyzing financial statements and interpreting market trends will enable me to evaluate investment opportunities, aiding me in making informed choices for clients or employers. Moreover, the teamwork and leadership abilities I have developed will allow me to work closely with coworkers in dynamic settings such as investment banking or corporate finance.

While I work towards keeping a high GPA and making it onto the dean’s list, I am sure that the technical knowledge and interpersonal skills I have acquired will be beneficial for a prosperous finance career.
