I did not know that people have doubted whether or not Shakespeare wrote his won plays. I can understand why people might thing that since we do not really know much about his life apart from vague details but it was still a bit surprising to me. 
It was interesting to learn about the Globe theater and its layout. I think it is interesting that it is open air and that performers would use sunlight as their lighting. The lack of scenery is something I did not expect. This is suprising to me considering how well-known he is. I presumed that his personal life would have been very public, especially conisdering how long it's been since his poems, plays, and other writings have been out for so long.
