Natural and Synthetic are opposites. Natural is something that grows from the ground naturally. A good example would be grapes. An example of Synthetic would be Grape cough medicine. Synthetic materials are sometimes made from natural materials. So the grape cough medicine is a synthetic material because the cough medicine has sweetener flavor and coloring.

Synthetic materials (fibers) are made from synthesized polymers of small molecules. The compounds that are used to make these fibers come from petroleum based chemicals that are polymerized into a chemical that bonds two adjacent carbon atoms.

Synthetic diamonds are grown in labs and natural ones are grown in a formation in Earth's Mantel. A pro of buying a lab diamond is that the diamond is that it does not require mining, which degrades the environment and puts workers in dangerous conditions. A con is that lab diamonds have very little to no resale which means if you buy it you won't be able to reap any part of what you paid. A pro of a natural diamond is that the stone will be more pure and white. A con would be that it would strain a little in their crystal structure.
