The second video is glad to watch. She sets a brave and beautiful image of woman in neo-society and encourages all women to stand out for feminism, not to fear showing the feminine side out. But my gender gives me disadvantages, too. While most decent people would treat females approptiately, still many would cast defamation on women just because their gender. It shocks me a lot because Toni asserts receiving too much education causes unhappiness, while she herself is educated. In last century, the image of married women was inferior and most of them were considered to be contented to home. Nevertheless, Jane believes education can bring joy, encouraging her to think and speak wisely. Her idea enlightens me greatly because she doesn’t follow the trend and tries to emphasize the equity. 
In the second video, this woman makes voice for contemporary women. Indeed, there are too much injustice or bias to women. The speech of this woman gives me lots of enlightenment and as well as courage. She strives to encourage females to be themselves, no matter what comment they will receive.   
It reminds me of those kinds of new that criticize the figure or dressing of female stars, which could cause much hurt to them. It seems that for female stars, the appearance is more important than their professional quality. While for male stars, these critiques seldom happen.

Although the status of women in this society and era have been improved, the prejudice about woemn still exists around us. I'd like to share an experience of one myself. I have a strong desire for continuing my further study and studying a PHD. However, my parents and relatives strongly disgree this thought. They hold the view that if a woman is over 30 years old, it is difficult for her to get married. Besides, the degree of education is not so important to a woman but getting married with a good and desirable husband is.
However, nowadays, an increasingly number of women know what they want in their life and have the ability to pursue their dreams such as having a further study although many have not understood this, which also put much pressure on women's choice.
Besides, the second video reminded me of a famous news in China. A girl was raped, but lots of people including the criminal thought it was not his fault but only because she wore skimpy outfits, which lured him. In my opinion, It was so ridiculous. In my opinion, both videos show the same thing that mainstream opinions are stood by men even in sixty years' "modern and developed society". I mean the society is "dominated" by the male, and one female should be "a good woman". It seems that the only value for women is to serve men, look after their families. 

Not only in the 1960s but also in today, people still think too much higher education for women is unhappy. Take me for an example. The reason why I insist on my MA study even through the Covid-19 scars me is that I know I probably have no chance to pursue my higher education in the future. Most people think that as girls, master degree is enough. You'd better go straight for work because of the Covid-19. More important, your duty is to find a good job and a good husband. By the way, studying is meaningless for women. And some of my friends do so.

Besides, women should also look like "good", such as not exposing the body and putting too much makeup. The bad thing is that most people around me agree with it. 

I try to escape from this kind of environment, and I also hope to find the arguments to change their so-called "mainstream opinion". Fortunately, I have great parents who support me 100%. I feel so lucky and thankful. Thus, I come to the UK to study in the UOM. If I can find the answer, I'd like to use facts to persuade those people.

Maybe the second video is more powerful compared to the first one in terms of relating to my own thoughts. I am afraid to just think that I will be educated then become a housewife and stay home waiting for my husband and kids to go home after work or school. In the second video, I feel though I can't be as fearless like her, I can be more confident.

What influences their values as a woman, their opinions towards education. The second video is an interview on a woman dresses in fancy coats who usually receives others' malicious or discriminatory eyesights due to her different outfits. Actually it should be our personal choice to decide what to wear, and there is no need to cater to others' needs and should not be judged with one's own culture. I think that this study mainly focuses on race privilege, so I'd like to talk about it with my own experience.
When I was in China, most of us actually admired minorities because the government gives them lots of privileges. It seems that they could get more than us easily, such as the opportunity to go to the top university and money. I think society is relevant stable and equal from this aspect.
Before I came to the UK, I heard that British is hospitable and welcoming. Now I found they are hospitable and welcoming, but only for "upper race". For example, both I and a girl found that most of the people in England responded nothing when we were greeting to them. Compared with it, my friend who is in Edinburgh lives in a warmer environment than us.
The last thing I'd like to mention is the designing of this study. It did reveal something. However, does this experiment reliable and valid? Can those questions represent race privilege? How did he select the participants? The second video is about what women wear. It's also easy to define people in life by what they wear, especially women. Many jobs require women to dress but few require men to dress. Maybe there are jobs because of professional needs, but I think in life everyone can wear what they want to wear.

And I learnt that it's still difficult to get racial harmony. Maybe on the surface level, some people think there is no racial discrimination. But it still exists, they just don't notice it, and even they instinctively receive it. 
I experienced disadvantage of gender when I was looking for a job. Some companies were more willing to recruit boys than girls, because they said girls would give birth which is not benefit for companies. It's more convenient to arrange workplace and dormitory for boys. Higher education is common for the public now in my hometown to some extent. Educated women will get a job after they graduate and a dual-income family will be built when they are married. However, women seems to be responsible for more housework and taking care of the children, so all these will put them into a difficult position and sometimes the education they received in the past won't be able to release them from it but to deepen their frustration and increase their stress. They have the ability to become better persons, but the reality doesn't seem to give them the opportunities.
