Classical conditioning- Associative learning<br>4. Observational Learning (modeling)- "monkey see, monkey do!"<br>NR-increase behavior by decreasing something you do not like<br>PR- Increase behavior by increasing something you like<br>PP- Decreasing poor behavior by increasing something you do not like<br>NP- Decreasing poor behavior by decreasing something you like <br>"The principle of effect"-<br>Any​ behavior that is rewarded (reinforced) more than it is punished will be maintained.<br>"The principle of Extinction"- Actions with unpleasant results tend to disappear.<br>Pinpointing: deciding on the specific ​ behavior you want to change.<br>Record Keeping: noting how often, ​ where and when the behavior occurs; what happens just after (consequences) and what happens just before (antecedents).<br>Making an action plan: setting goals and deciding how to reach them.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>Thorndike<br></em></strong>Operant contitioning - The puzzle box <br>Distinguish hoe fast the animal learns to do a certain action in order to escape<br>Put cat in box. String with button. If cat pushed button, then he can leave box then rewarded with food or water. <br>The responses were more and more gradual rather than the cat pushing the button as soon as he/she sees it.<br>Law of effect: Behavior changes because of consequences<br><strong><em>Skinner<br></em></strong>reinforcement affects behavior&nbsp;<br>Skinner box/operant chamber- small in which there was a response to be made and means of delivering a reinforcement.&nbsp;<br>Operant conditioning&nbsp;<br>The rat did learn that if he wanted more food, he'll press the lever. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>Garcia<br></em></strong>Taste aversion<br>Figure out if a subject will continue to eat or repeat an action if they know it will affect them negatively-Classical conditioning<br>Associated taste of saccharin solution with nausea so rats did not drink it.<br><strong><em>Watson<br></em></strong>Little albert-disprove the assumption that fears are caused by Freud's psychoanalytical perspective.-Classical conditioning<br>Took Albert from orphanage. Associated fear with the rat by creating loud noises. Albert was then afraid of the rat whenever he encountered it. <br>Helped show that the Freudian perspective was incorrect. <br>Now we know how conditioning is used and we know how we can use it for reinforcement techniques <br>Conditioning-CS and US paired- Acquisition<br>First extinction period- no US<br>Rest period<br>Spontaneous recovery <br><br></div>]]></description>

Boys were more physically aggressive with the violent role models. Boys more aggressive than females. Helped predict future behavior.
