On the morning of her sixteenth birthday, Enola discovers that her mother is nowhere to be found. She had left without any notice, leaving Enola in distress. This event disrupts the stability of the initial equilibrium.

Recognition of Disruption

Enola discovers a letter and money from her mother, after solving a clue she had left for her. This gives Enola the motivation step out into the real world to follow her mother, in hopes of finding her. Not only that but this makes Enola realise that her mother had left for a reason, and wants her to choose her own path.

While on the hunt for her mother, Enola faces a lot of challenges and obstacles. Some of which occur due to her encounter with a runaway lord, Tewkesbury. This scene in specific includes a man who is trying to find Tewkesbury, and follows Enola to gain information on his whereabouts, ending up in a fight.

Resolution

In the end, a conclusion is reached, where Enola's mother surprises her all of a sudden, and reveals why she had left in the first place (to make the world better for Enola's future). Although her mother still had to leave, Enola ended up finding her own path in life, acknowledging herself as a detective, and finder of lost souls. This allows for the creation of a new equilibrium.
