Calibre is one of the most unique producers within drum & bass. Calibre's style is one that carries lots of introspection, his tracks carry a lot of emotion which impacts listeners. He utilises simplicity to create an affect on his listeners "By pursuing that simplicity you enter that state when you feel you’re watching yourself working – it’s happening naturally, you’re not thinking, you’re doing and you’re holding on the reins kinda controlling what’s happening." (Songwritingmagazine.co.uk, 2017). I love his music because impacts me as it brings me lots of nostalgia, and also feelings of connectedness to nature and people around us.  Listening to his music has impacted me greatly because listening to his music has given me many ideas for my own tracks and how I would style certain tracks through the sound to create a feeling in the listener. Being the first Drum & Bass artist I listened to and that has had an ever lasting effect on me, as it induced my love for Drum & Bass and Uk EDM as a whole. His music brings me much joy but can also bring lots of nostalgia and sadness, I find having variety within his tracks hugely influential. I love his simple but affective sound which I think is highly admirable. I feel that if can have less being more I have achieved as an artist.

His music is a blend of ambient and chill out music mixed with Uk dance styles. Calibre mentions Mix Master Morris as an influence during an interview, "Mixmaster Morris, and many others forged my deeply held interest in the genre." (redbull.com, 2019). The influence is definitely heard within Calibre's productions, as his style is one of ambience, emotion, and simplicity with much lots of foliage and ambient sampling.
