Moreover, for a Week 3 usrah session we are focusing on the concept of khusyuk in Salah.

📌 week 3 - preparation for salah with khusyu'

"وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ"
"And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive."
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:45)

➡️ This verse highlights that patience (sabr), and prayer (solat) are two keyways to seek help from Allah. It emphasizes that the difficulty of performing these acts is only made easier for those who have khushu' (humility) in their hearts. The concept of khushu’ is central here because only those with true humility and submissiveness before Allah can find peace and ease in their prayer.

Preparation for Prayer with Khushu’

Purification – Begin with ablution (wudu) or tayammum if water is unavailable. Ensure that the required body parts are properly cleansed.

Determining the Qibla – Make sure the direction of the Qibla is correct so that the prayer is accepted.

Wearing Clean and Modest Clothing – Wear clean clothes that comply with Islamic guidelines and ensure that the awrah (private parts) is fully covered.

Sincere Intention – Make sure the intention for prayer is sincere, done only for the sake of Allah. There should be no other intention except to worship Him.

Emptying the Heart and Mind – Before starting the prayer, empty your heart and mind, focusing only on the act of worship. Direct your thoughts to Allah and distance yourself from worldly matters.

Humility (Tawadu’) – Enter the prayer with a humble attitude, acknowledging the greatness of Allah, and realizing your own insignificance before Him.

Conclusion:

To achieve khushu' in prayer, we need to prepare ourselves properly, ensuring sincere intention and full focus on Allah. With a clean heart and complete attention, our prayer will become more meaningful and bring peace to the soul.

💌 "When you stand in prayer, stand with complete humility as though you are speaking to your Creator and Master."
— Ibn al-Qayyim

Assalammualaikum everyone

For this week, we're learning about

The Virtues Found in Zakah and Sadaqah. 🌟

SO WHAT IS ZAKAT AND DIFFERENT BETWEEN ZAKAT AND SADAQAH ???

Zakāh is the fourth pillar of Islam, and it's a mandatory act of charity that requires Muslims to give a portion of their wealth to those in need. It purifies one’s wealth and soul, fostering a sense of social responsibility and empathy.

In the Qur'an, zakah is mentioned alongside prayer, emphasizing its importance. Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 277, highlights that those who believe, perform righteous deeds, establish prayer, and give zakah will receive great rewards from Allah.

Sadaqah, on the other hand, is voluntary charity. While it’s not obligatory like zakāh, it is highly encouraged and can be given at any time. Both zakāh and sadaqah serve to support the poor and needy, promote social justice, and strengthen bonds of brotherhood within the Muslim community.

➡️ The difference between Zakat and Sadaqah is that zakat is obligatory, has a fixed amount, and is given to specific categories of people, while sadaqah is voluntary, can be given at any time and in any amount, and is not restricted to certain recipients.

NEXT IS WHAT WE GAIN WHEN PERFORM ZAKAH

The Virtues of Tawakkul:

Tawakkul means placing full trust in Allah while taking the necessary actions in life. It teaches Muslims to rely on Allah rather than material wealth. Some key points:

Relying on Allah: Tawakkul helps Muslims trust Allah’s plan, even when outcomes aren’t as expected.

Spiritual Strength: It encourages detachment from worldly possessions and strengthens faith.

In the context of ukhuwah (brotherhood), zakāh and sadaqah promote unity by reducing social inequalities, helping the less fortunate, and fostering a spirit of mutual care and solidarity.

May Allah grant us the ability to fulfill these important acts of worship and strengthen the ties of brotherhood in our communities.

➡️ Conclusion about Zakah:

Zakah is an essential pillar of Islam that purifies wealth and helps those in need. It promotes social justice, reduces inequality, and strengthens the sense of community by encouraging generosity. By giving zakah, Muslims fulfill their duty to Allah and support the welfare of society, while also earning spiritual rewards. It is a reminder that wealth is a blessing from Allah and should be shared with others.

➡️ Zakah brings great rewards, not only by purifying wealth but also by granting blessings in life and rewards in the Hereafter.🤲🏻🌟

💌 "Don't forget to pay zakat during Ramadan or Eid al-Fitr to gain more blessings."

Bismillah Praise be to Allah for still granting us the opportunity to learn and acquire new knowledge. We are given the chance to explore, understand, and delve deeper into each lesson. Additionally, week 4 also focused on learning about prayer (solat) and khushu'. As students, this topic is very important because we are required to perform the five daily prayers.

In the previous week, we learned the methods to achieve khushu' in prayer. Therefore, it is essential for us to apply the knowledge gained, as it serves as encouragement for us as students who wish to understand and deepen our knowledge of Islam.🤲🏻

Great! Let’s dive deeper into this topic and explore it further this week.

We’ve already touched on the importance of achieving khushu' (humility and focus) in solat (prayer), and how it connects to our spiritual growth and connection with Allah. To go deeper, we can learn what the meaning of salah and khusyuk and we also can explore several aspects.

➡️ salah: The cornerstone of a Muslim’s daily life, a connection with Allah.

➡️ khusyuk: A state of humility and focus in prayer, essential for spiritual success.

📌 Solat is indeed one of the most powerful ways to communicate with Allah and seek His pleasure and mercy. Through solat, we are able to establish a direct and personal connection with the Creator, which is a privilege that we as Muslims hold dearly.

salah with Khusyuk = Virtues💫

1.Al-Ta ah (Submission/Loyalty)

It refers to complete obedience and loyalty to Allah’s commands.

Importance: Submission is the foundation of a believer’s relationship with Allah. Besides, the virtues cultivated through Salah permeate every aspect of life, leading to spiritual growth and success.

"Take care of your prayer, take care of your relationship with Allah!" 😊

💌 "If a servant prays with humility and focus, then his prayer becomes a means of purification for him."

(Narrated by Imam Al-Nawawi)

This one’s definitely gonna be next level fun! tiberr.

➡️ After 7 weeks of usrah in Semester 2, I feel that this usrah has had a very positive and cheerful impact. This semester feels more relaxed, maybe it's because of the naqibah, hehe. Well, as usual, I gained a lot of benefits from this usrah program, for example, I have a better understanding of the concept of patience when facing trials, and ways to improve myself spiritually and emotionally. In addition, this usrah also gave me the opportunity to get to know myself and my friends better, while providing mutual support on our journey towards goodness. With a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, I feel more motivated to keep learning and practicing.Besides, joining usrah helps boost my spiritual growth, allowing me to deepen my faith and strengthen connection with Allah. Plus, it builds lasting friendships, creating a supportive community where me and my friends grow together, sharing knowledge and experiences.

LOTS OF LOVE💫

💌 Usrah is not just a gathering, it's a journey to elevate our faith together.

Bismillah n assalammualaikum everyone🫶🏻

Alright since this is my last usrah session for this Sem...so I would like to share an interesting view and information about virtues found in hajj / umrah

Key Differences Between Hajj and Umrah

Hajj is mandatory once in a lifetime for those who can afford it and includes additional rituals like Arafah, Muzdalifah, and stoning at Mina.

Umrah is recommended and can be performed anytime, with fewer rituals and less time required.

Both are acts of devotion that bring immense spiritual rewards and

purification.

Hajj and Umrah are acts of worship with profound spiritual, moral, and social virtues. Some of the key virtues include:

1. Spiritual Purification

Sins are forgiven, as the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity or wrongdoing will return as pure as the day he was born." (Bukhari, Muslim)

Umrah also serves as an expiation for sins committed between one Umrah and the next.

2. Strengthening Faith (Iman)

Standing in Arafah during Hajj is a deeply emotional experience that renews faith and devotion to Allah.

Performing Tawaf around the Kaabah fosters a sense of closeness to Allah.

3. Humility and Equality

Hajj unites people of all backgrounds, removing barriers of wealth, status, and race as everyone wears simple white Ihram.

This reminds believers that all are

equal before Allah.

These virtues make Hajj and Umrah among the most rewarding and transformative acts in Islam.💕

💌 "If your heart longs for Baitullah, believe that Allah also longs to invite you. Pray, strive, and have faith—insyaAllah, your time will come."
