I would socialize with them and compare and contrast their lives to mine. Some days would be jam packed while others would be slow so that I could enjoy the beauty of nature around me. On these lazy days, I would watch people, animals, and study natures lessons. When travelling around to different corners of the planet Earth, I would try new things, like food of course. Don't worry too much though, I would spend much time at home as well. Mostly with family and friends. I would want my final day to be at home with my family and closed friends. I would wake up early, not supper early, but early enough so that you could still hear the birds chirping outside your window. I would eat a good sized breakfast consisting of pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, and orange juice. I would eat the fruit last so that I had the sweet taste in my mouth as I started my day. I would talk with loved ones for some time then head off to go hang out with friends. I would play sports with them outside in the warm cool day. The kind of day where when you stand in the sun light, you can feel the warming of the sun's rays and simultaneously be cooled by a slight breeze. It would be a colorful day. All shades of green from nature and a bright yellow orange sun with a dark blue sky pokeidotted with white cot n candy clouds. After lunch I would sit outside with peace and take a nap. I might go play video games afterward and have supper with family next. “‘My God, this is terrible,’ the wave says ‘Look what’s going to happen to me!'”
“Then along comes another wave. It sees the first wave, looking grim, and it says to him, ‘Why do you look so sad?’ “
“The first wave says, ‘You don’t understand! We’re all going to crash! All of us waves are going to be nothing! Isn’t it terrible?’ “
“The second wave says, ‘No, you don’t understand. You’re not a wave, you’re part of the ocean.’ “
I smile. Morrie closes his eyes again.
“Part of the ocean,” he says. “Part of the ocean.” I watch him breathe, in and out, in and out.
