Good morning from Flagstaff!
Thank you, Pepi, for being so open about the current situation. As a member of the team you referred to, I consider it a great success that the Club now has 21 members! In the same vein I sympathize with the current level of club-wide engagement both in terms of generating bulletin content and interaction related to weekly content. (Thanks for the fix related to the phone!) Also, and as I've said before many times, we must come up with a fundraising project that non-local members can easily participate in. Looking forward to brainstorming solutions!
Thanks for all you do, Pepi!!

Camilla Lake

Thanks for posting Camilla. This really wasn't about my frustraion with lack of participation but the fact that we need to assess where we go from here . there are so many ideas out there for EClubs and other creative ways to be involved in Rotary that I fear we are missing great opportunities to make the club viable and fun. Our international members bring a broad spectrum of skills and talent and I'd like to see us reach out to them more. Our local members also have this same range of skill and talent but are busy people with families and such. It's hard to keep up the energy and momentum with so little involvement. We are in the midst of planning a large fundraiser that will bring in people from all over the district but we need more hands. I'm hoping my challenge to the members will at least bring in a couple of comments and I appreciate you for always stepping up. Pep

I agree with both aspects, would be great to find ways that really draw on our local and international skillsets and enable us to share better. Frank has been eagerly attending the meetings of the local rotary club here, diani beach, and trying to give computer support for a school where they want to establish an interconnect club. He's also been spreading our e-club concept more and as always people are really interested in finding out how it works. I've been very busy with my project proje on firewood usage I the local village and the introduction of fuel efficient stoves. There's so much rotary legacy here! Especially many schools have connections to various international clubs with many past and present projects. Tomorrow we go to an island called Wasini and according to Frank who's been there once before also used to have some rotary projects there. I'm very curious to see what we will find there tomorrow or if there's maybe any current rotary project going on...
