This book goes through one school year of Steven's life and follows him and his family as they deal with a very difficult situation in his family. Steven has to deal with this situation while juggling school and remaining strong for his family. I really enjoyed this book because I like how it was told from Steven's point of view and even though it was a tough situation that he had to deal with, he often joked and made it easier to understand. It was very easy to relate to since he is your age. Even though it dealt with a sick family member he had a way to keep it entertaining. Roo and her sister go through a lot during this book. On a daily bases Roo would normally pick up Ruth her sister, but once Roo picks up her phone in the car, the car flips and she has to end up in the hospital. I really enjoyed this book because it teaches you a life lesson not to go on your phone while driving. It is though very emotional. Its a sad book to read. Other then that this book is really god. I would recommend thins book if your trying to find a book. Its an medium reading level book. It's just like he's starting his life all over again. When he goes to school he gets different face reactions because people in his school. I really enjoyed this book because it's a story with a great lesson and to not judge a book by its cover. I do recommend it to people that love to have a good message in the story.
