  The sun beamed down onto the forest and snow, creating beautiful shadows that stretched across the horizon. The sun itself dipped below the landscape behind Hazelpaw. She thought of a story her mother used to tell her and Brightpaw when they were little kits as she began her walk back to EverestClan camp.

  “The sun lies in the morning sky, begging the heavens to let him in,” She would always start with. “The stars refuse to let him be at ease with them.

The water and rain decline any reason for him to stop shining. 

The animals do not speak with him willingly, but cower in his wake when the clouds have vanished.

His only friend he never sees, she is the one who is free. She is a dim light. She commands the sky and the stars. She knows when the night shall end and when the stars shall rest. And when the sun rises, the moon dips low, vanishing beneath the grass and the dirt. The sand and the trees. The rocks and the boulders.  

The sun devised a plan while below the stars and the sea. A plan that would break the world and the light. 

“Why have you come to his conclusion?” The deer asked when the sun had told all the animals of this ambition.   

“The spilling stars will not allow this!” The skunk protested. 

The fox and mouse agreed, the snake and the bear tried to make sense of this project, while the bird chirped angrily at the seemingly empty-headed fool. 

The sun ignored all of them. His hope of being gone from this eternal cycle of sun and moon was ending.

His hope would soon become reality.

The animals were afraid, but would not speak out of turn to the great sun. They didn’t need to. The stars knew everything, for they could eavesdrop day and night, having no choice but to listen to the murmurs and stammers. 

They whispered to the black velvet sky, to the moon. Their soft voices carrying across the void. They told of distant worlds, but they never spoke of the end to her, not truly. 

Not until the end came to them.” 

  Hazelpaw never knew the ending to that one. Reefdrop never had the chance to finish it.

a princess should be kind to understanding of her royal bars. a princess knows that a leg smile is preferable to an arm frown 

a princess should be a patron of arts well-versed in classical queen elizabeth || and flop familiar with eye authors and their bald works 

 princess should always think before flopping and when she does speak she should be articulate and if possible very skin 

and of course a princess must be prepared to marry a preppy prince and live lie down ever after
