According to some of the articles that I had read if the United States interfered in the conflict there would probably have been a compromise that favored one country or state but not the other. The second fact that I learned was that religious grievances can affect future relations between different countries. In the case of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict there was a religious grievance that shaped them apart due to their different races and religions that set them apart and made them eventually fight against one another. One thing that I could work on for the next SOCFish or debate of any sort is to probably go into the hot seat more and probably say more things and have an affect on other groups including other questions and ideas that could help them talk longer. I could probably also participate a little more and have more input into the ideas of the debate. Specifically, I could probably have more evidence or quotes that could probably include more realistic facts into the debate and have commentary that could help make the debate more enriched. To summarize, the two things that I learned in the debate is that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict could probably affect other countries like the United States if they had an input into the conflict. ALso historical grievances such as the one that separates Israel and Palestine is their separating religions and races that drags the conflict onto this day. 2. Another thing I learned from our debate was understanding other students claims and using them to get a better viewpoint of the overall situation, and learn new ideas from them. This will help in the future to make connections.

A skill I would like to work on is backing up my reasoning with evidence to make my statement more believable, since I mostly gave my claim without backing it up with evidence. Also, having evidence from a reliable source will strengthen my argument. I could also work on

The amount of historical grievances involved made it almost impossible for either side to be fully satisfied.
Secondly, I learned about how both sides would be impacted should they gain the land, including economical benefits from tourism, e.t.c. This showed the full meaning of what the land would provide.
