Each and everyone of them believe that if they follow these rules, they are presented as the prettiest, most attractive individuals in the school, let's not forget the boys. So when you have followed all these rules, and truly believe that you are the prettiest, what girl wouldn't want to be like you? 
I could also be deep feelings of insecurity. This, like, 2 minute, doesn't show us the girls' experiences before this. What if at the middle school they went to, they were the considered the ugliest girls. So they feel as if they need to follow these made up rules, to not have to deal with the insecurities they developed in their past.
