I was born and raised in San Diego, California.  I am still a resident of San Diego and I live and work in the downtown area of  my city!   I am a mother, daughter, friend, Early Childhood Educator, activist, social worker, Libra and a student.  I have two children. A boy, Thomas , who is 26 and a girl, Julia, who is 21.  It is amazing to see these little humans evolve into young adults. Still learning who they want to be, how they want to be loved and make a life for themselves financially.  I am an only child but was raised with my cousin as a sister.  I love people. I love wondering what makes them who they are, why they have the struggles or non struggles others don’t, is it nature or nurture that makes us who we are? We have a Therapeutic Childcare Facility that offers extensive therapeutic care for the whole child and family services of our homeless population. I over see the preschool team and work with families to move forward and find help with trauma, mental heath challenges, and homelessness. I love what I do! I have taught in Early Childhood for over 17 years and love social work so I get the best of both worlds!
