This was done through training the software to recognize individual phrases.

Now, there is a new version in beta testing that allows an individual with disordered speech to speak into the mic and have their speech transcribed into text in real time. The current beta testing is only available for individuals 13+, but the program will become available for younger users within a couple weeks.
