Exams have been a traditional method of assessing a person's knowledge and skills for a long time. However, many people argue that they are an outdated way of measuring ability. Here are a few reasons why:

1. Stress and Anxiety: The high-stakes nature of exams can cause significant stress and anxiety, which can negatively impact performance and well-being.

2. Lack of Practical Application: Exams often test theoretical knowledge rather than practical skills, which may not reflect real-world abilities.

On the other hand, some argue that exams provide a structured and objective way to evaluate knowledge and ensure a certain level of competency.

Exams help us see how much we’ve learned and where we can improve. It’s not about being perfect, but about knowing what we know and getting ready for the future. They show us our strengths and areas to work on, which is important for our growth and we don’t need to stress the exams but we just need to focus and study.

I don't necessarily think that exams are old fashioned, because yes it can measure what you've learnt so far, but I believe that there are still more better ways to measure, just because alot of people can do good on paper doesn't mean they're automatically redeemed as super smart, I'm not saying that it's a bad way to measure, because of course you have to study and get ready but that eventually burns you out and makes it tiring to do the exam when it's time to take it, which can make you suddenly have a mental block during it, I don't know that's just me.

Preparing yourself for your future, having all those subjects is really stressful while getting tested. I think theres more than being tested in the subjects that we have. And they could be changed in some way that it is not stressful some way that you're not scared to fail. Exams sure are for testing a persons understanding capabilities but having to move forward with your knowledge with what you learnt is not enough for the real world, when you grow up the world is always changing and being to overcome your own problems

Juswa

Exams have been used for a long time to test what people know, but they don’t always show a person’s true abilities. They often focus on memorizing facts and working quickly, rather than on creativity or solving real world problems. Some students might be very talented but don’t do well in exams because they get nervous or don’t work well under pressure. Because of this, many people think exams are not the best way to measure someone’s skills or potential

However some people think exams are fair and important. Everyone takes the same test, so it’s easy to see how well each person is doing. Exams also help students learn skills like staying focused, working hard, and handling pressure, which are useful in life. many believe exams are still a good way to see how much someone has learned.
