There was something special about listening to Sam-I-am sing "I'm every woman" on saturday night and noticing the women and non-binary folks designing and holding up the event. Your leadership is noted. We see you, in the dj booth, holding the microphones, managing the sound, welcoming warmly at the front desk, putting out fires, mopping up messes, wrangling, coordinating & making it happen! The entire team of staff and volunteers and artists were spectacular !!! The effort made to have a well balanced team and feminist leadership is felt. We are grateful for everything you do, and do so well.

I don't have a particular moment, but I am thankful for everything. I found the Cat's Corner a few months ago and I always leave this place with joy in my hearth and a smile on my face, and this weekend more than any other time. I've dealt with depression recently and this place and its people make me feel alive and happy. So I am thankful to everyone that makes this possible: the leadership, the volunteers, the teachers, the musicians, the dancers and all the others. I look forward to many more years with you all.

It was so nice to see moms and babies and kids and parents and elders and new-dancers-over-60 and young-performers-under-12 all sharing space and making magic happen together 🥳 bonus was the many generations of Montreal dancers who came out, it’s something special to unite all those lifelines in one room

So many people who care deeply all in one place. People who care about music, about dance. People who care that the coffee needs to be made and that lunch just be prepared. People who care about good sound quality and having enough microphones. People who care to host the best party of the year. And many many people who care about opening their hearts to elders and artists and connection. Merci ❤️

I loved all the workshops that I took. The special guests, teachers and musicians were the best, the bagels with salmon and the salad were delicious; but the the one thing that marked me was what happened during the panel discussion about competitions. Many approaches were accurately presented, and one of them was that the most important thing is to enjoy and share with others while you are dancing. For some people it can be a business or a matter of ego; but at Cats Corner we get the space to become better dancers and persons. It is great having the opportunity to dance swing while honouring its roots and keeping this beautiful and happy music alive. A big thank you to all the teachers, organizers, volunteers and the dancing community for being so welcoming and inclusive… Congratulations and I can’t wait for the next event ❤️
