Case study 1
Jessica suffers from learned helplessness because she feels like she is not in control of her life. She has always been a high achiever and always holds her self to high standards but now she feels like she is failing in life. She feels worthless and shame as she feels like she cant perform as well as used to, so these thoughts of failing and failure have made her become depressed and low at all times. So she spends her time away from her friends and family, keeping her feelings away from her husband. Because of this she's dwelling in her feelings alone making her more deorresed and alone. With all this on her shoulders she is finding her life very dissatisfying and wishing she was dead.
