He is also a WHO field reporter who will be arranging and spearheading a conference in regards to the water crisis that has been reported to set major setbacks in the world. The conference itself took place in Asia, specifically the Philippines. He is also very reliant on people (lonely) and is very well-organized and prepared.

Another character that played an important role was Marisol who was the reporter. Marisol was also the woman that Michael found attractive in the story. Throughout the story, we go through their first encounter and their "last" with Michael. But the one that struck me the most would be the fact that it is difficult to deal with certain issues by yourself and sometimes you need that certain someone, who in this case became Marisol for Mike, to take care of you and who makes you feel comfortable enough to let go. With the world to come to an end, at least Marisol will always be there for Mike and vice-versa. Just like what Peter has told Mike, “Don’t be alone when the end comes. That’s key. Their consequences are slowly creeping up on them and by the time they notice it, it might be too late to fix it. Just like how other countries started getting affected by the water crisis when it started in North America and spread all the way to Asia. Although it is a big assumption we can still see officials not listening or are disregarding evidence which proves that certain problems may arise from this if not fixed.
