The Behaviourist Theory helped us understand why individuals do what they do. This is "a theory of learning which states all behaviours are learned through interaction with the environment through a process called conditioning" (McLeod S, 2020). As a result of this understanding, behaviour modification programmes have been developed to help change the behaviours of young offenders and the behaviour of children.
