They build mounds and other structures that would normaly take months to buld in just 90 days. Another reason why Poverty Point is an advanced society is because of the tools that they built for hunting and defending themselves. They built the atlatl which was used to hurl spears, and they built argricultural tools to plant seeds and gather crops.

The evidence that poverty point is an advanced society was that everyone worked together to maintain order in the society. At Poverty Point everyone had a job. Some people traded others built. This was a place of worship and a place of meeting. No wonder why this is known as North America's first city. Poverty Point was a place where different people created one working society.

They could go there to worship gods, work, or live there. In order to maintain there society they must work together. The idea of earthworks spread world wide, and drew more people in to Poverty point.

Poverty point is an adavnced Native American society. Their architecture is unique and different from any other culture. Their society works together as a team (family) to keep things in order like, earthen works, food supply, and trading. No one had a specific job, if someone needed help then, that's the "job" they would complete. As a result of them working together, things got finished faster and their economy thrived.

Poverty point was a advanced society because of the amazing feats they accomplished. Poverty point is in north west Louisiana right besides Mississippi. For example poverty point was a 43 acre plaza, all hand made. For size comparison our school sits on about 5 acres of land, poverty point is about equal to 8 or so of our schools combined. This was done in a age were no power tools or vehicles were invented. These people built these things with their hands and the tools they had. This was a amazing feat of creativity and building for such a early tribe. Also they used this point for trading or bartering with each other. They made clay things, beads, etc. These people traded in this massive area known as poverty point. In the 1500's these people were a highly advanced tribe, reaching amazing goals. These people shaped early Louisiana.

Poverty Point is an advanced society because the Native Amercians had a large economy. They also built earthworks to worship gods and to support their religion. According to the readings the Native People made pottery, clay figures, and permanet homes. Finally, they traded with each other and used Poverty Point as a place to meet together and create ideas as one.

Poverty point is an advanced Native American society because Poverty point was 43 acres long. It had to take great communication, tools, and be organized to be able to build something that big and able to withstand a very long time and still be in a good shape. The plaza could have been used to share news what is happening in other tribes ,trade with people socialize. Poverty point was advanced because they made the plaza by hand they didn't have electrical powered tools the economy had to be good because over 1000 Native Americans lived there so to support them and to be able to maintain Poverty point.

The evidence that I discovered that supported the claim is that they thrived and created many different things that at that time no one was doing. For example they built a structure that is in the form of a "C" and that area is about 43 acres of land. Not only that but Archaeologist found huge holes that have a 213 feet diameter, some say they used these for poles that could have been 20 feet tall. The thing that really showed advancement is the trading. You wouldn't expect Native Americans to trade very tremendously, but in that area that had barely any stones and some how they managed to trade for about 70 tons of rock and minerals! And to their benefit they were surrounded by rivers that gave them trading routes. These are some of the reasons that Poverty Point is an advanced Native American society.

Poverty Point was a advanced society that flourished as time passed. Indians came together like one big team or family. They developed alot of things such as games. They were very creative. Alot of the Indians had different beliefs, religion, etc. But they all put their differences aside to become a team. They had cultural ceremonies, built homes and shelter, and they all just got along with eachother. They we're very minimal disagreements among these people. These people had no cell phones, no cars, no internet, no bikes, but still managed to communicate very good. It is really amazing. They showed us society should be today.
