Finding:

Emotional bonds to the university are built through the social connections that campus life brings, where life-long friendships and professional connections are found.

Insight:

USYD should invest and grow onsite campus based activities and social clubs/groups to facilitate strong friendships and professional connections to develop which will lead to lifelong connections attributed to the USYD experience. Online activities cannot replace this.

Trustworthy – yes as it’s based on findings from the content analysis and interviews

New or unexpected – it’s not really new as this is something that USYD has been doing for years and seen as a key differentiator, however it has been hindered by Covid lockdowns

Relevance – this is relevant to support the engagement marketing that will help to drive student acquisition strategies

Actionable – yes this is actionable

Insight- the reaction that you maybe be looking for, is not what your are going to necessarily get. People of notoriety, to which you are celebrating the fact they completed tertiary education at Sydney University, especially political ones, has to be carefully thought out. Primarily due to the fact that the government policy affects our lives extensively.

Trustworthy- I believe so, as the information was gathered directly from comments made from publics in response to the post, and interviews were completed regarding the topic as well.

New- I don't think that it was new. As mentioned previously, political issues and those people associated with such a topic that affects all of our lives, needs to be researched, as the discussion can spiral off into dimensions and not achieve marketing communication objectives as desired by the author.

Relevant to your marketing opportunity and actionable - Yes, because it becomes knowledge. The next political figure who achieves great heights, and is associated with the university, the marketing team now have more knowledge of how to post on the topic to achieve desired results.
</sub>
