Great job! - for short pieces of work such a math facts worksheet. I sometimes follow up with an additional sentence saying what they did well, but I could be more consistent. To do this, I can utilize my observations of how and what they did during the process to get them to the finished product. 

To myself, I tend to say "It's not right" or "It won't work because..." when I have an idea or project I want to try. If the process and outcome does not feel 100% certain in my mind, I tend not to even start it. As a result, nothing gets started. To fix this mindset, I've been trying to take small steps towards initiating things - making lists, drawings, and planning. Instead of saying "It won't work because..."
