         <description><![CDATA[<p>The verbiage on the 2021 side is more specific for most of what remained the same. For example, instead of "Students know there is a relationship" like in 2017, the 2021 standard specifies that it is a "cause and effect relationship". Another example is in 7(A) which specifies that the distance and time measurements come from investigations specifically where those measurements used to not have a written origin in 2017. Most of the letters have the same idea but more specific implementations. Then 7(D) and all of 8 (A,B, and C) are new to seventh grade. 7(D) is a new TEK which states that students will "analyze the effect of balanced and unbalanced forces on the state of motion of an object using Newton's First Law of Motion." and 8 (A, and B) come from grade 6 with minimal tweaking and 8(C) is new. 8(C) states that students will "explain the relationship between temperature and the kinetic energy of the particles within a substance."</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I noticed that the 2 parts of Force and Motion that 7th grade taught before (turgor pressure, tropisms, emergence of seedlings) were removed completely. I also noticed that most of the TEK was moved from both 6th and 8th grade to 7th grade.  These new expectations include investigating, interpreting, and analyzing the data not just how to perform a calculation.  The TEK uses the phrase "understands the behavior of thermal energy"</p>]]></description>

Such as, </p><p>in Bonding section, TEKS 7A,  they have added some new TEK as  construct an argument to support how periodic trends such as electronegativity can predict bonding between elements. I guess students need to do more analysis and critical thinking.</p>]]></description>

Same verbs in which the students will be learning that topic. </p><p><br/></p><p>I noticed the new one focuses more on F=ma and less on S=d/t. We are going to focus more on how ecological succession affects the species. </p><p><br/></p><p>I like the move of biotic and abiotic into 6th grade. </p><p><br/></p><p>The big Cell unit in 7th grade moved to 8th grade.
