The First Estate

This is the first estate, made up of the royalty (or clergy). They pay no taxes and they do not have to work, they have servants to do it for them and they have the Third Estate to do their work for them and make their food for them. People in the First Estate were all members of the Catholic Church, those who were very religious and took their orders seriously. Like I said before, they don't do any of their work, which means they have someone to do it for them, slaves to their work for them. Somewhat like maids and servants.

Document Given to By Teachers

The Second Estate is full of the nobles, they are on the verge of rich and do not have to pay for their taxes, somewhat exact to the first estate. They also have the Third Estate to do all their work and make their food for them. The people in the Second Estate were also a part of a group, not the same one, but a different one. This is why they are different, they were all granted to be a part of a hereditary fief, which is a title of nobility. It's not like they're royalty, they only seem like they are, because they don't pay their taxes, but in a way it does make them royalty because their in a group just like the royals.

Document Given to By Teachers

The poorest of them all, The Third Estate. These are the commoners. They're poor, work too hard, and pay all their taxes. They do all the work for the other Estates. Why they're so poor, because they are not a part of a group. They are in neither one and were not a part of any group, all alone, and they paid ALL their taxes They don't live like royalty like the other two, they have to work for what they want, unlike First and Second.

Document Given to By Teachers

In the night, on December 16, 1773 Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty went on three ships in the Boston harbor and threw 342 chests filled of tea overboard the ship. This was an event that happened that led up to the American Revolution. The Boston Tea Party was specifically a protest by the American Colonists, which is why they were so mad like, "Bro why'd you throw away all our tea we were gonna sell it and drink it, we needed that" which is why its a reason of the American Revolution.

Vanessa's Humanities Screenshot

This was basically a tax that were put on the American Colonists by the British. This happened in 1765. It said on it that the American Colonists needed to pay their taxes on all kinds of things like newspapers, magazines, and legal documents. It was called the stamp act because the American Colonists had to stamp it to show that they actually read it and that it was an official act.

Vanessa's Humanities Screenshot

This happened on March the 5th, in 1770, when the British solders in Boston fired at a group of Americans and killed five men. This argument about what happened began between a British Private Hugh White and a few colonists outside the Custom House in Boston on King Street. The argument began to grow more and more as way much more colonists decided to join into the fight. Sooner or later, there were more than fifty colonists fighting against each other,

history.com
