It’s more rare for people to recycle their electronics than it is to recycle normal things like newspaper, plastic bottles, etc. And since I don’t even recycle those normal things, I wont even have the thought of recycling my electronic stuffs. Furthermore I don’t know much about E recycling too.

-No, because I want to keep the olr phone so that when I bring my current phone for service repair, I can use those one of those handphones as a spare handphone to contact my friends and family.

7. Have you ever seen an E-waste recycling bin in Singapore? (Eg. Schools, Around your neighbourhood) What do you think about the places that the bins are placed at? (Eg. Hard to notice, Not visible etc.)

-Yes, I have seen an E-waste recycling bin before. I think the bins are placed at locations like community clubs and at trash bin points at shopping malls. NLB does have the e-waste recycling bin.

-No, I don't think I have seen one before.

-Yes, around my neighbourhood and near my school (SP). They are generally placed at places which are noticeable. However, it is not being used because they are skeptical and unaware of the process.

- I think the e-waste recycling bins in singapore are hard to notice as I have never seen them before.

- Yes, I have seen them around, But very rarely. It’s not a common sight and I think that’s why Singaporeans in general don’t have a good knowledge about E recycling. I have seen it in ONE shopping mall, and in my secondary school. Its normally tucked away in a corner and not really visible.

8. What can be done to motivate or encourage you to recycle your mobile phones and accessories? (Eg. Rewards, Loyalty systems, Advertising posters/videos/campaigns?)

- Having campaigns and posters to explain the benefits and process(create video) of e-recycling as well as social media. (Educating and spreading awareness is most important)

- A machine similar to a vending machine that dispenses drinks or rewards in exchange for old electronic devices. There are existing machines like this but for plastic bottles.

-Yeah I think through instagram, TV advertising would help. Motivate me.

-Rewards can be done to motivate me to recycle. For example, in other countries, there's an E-waste recycling machine that recycles phones but in return, the system rewards all the users who recycle with money.

- Maybe like points to collect ad can exchange for things like NTUC vouchers? Also maybe those interesting advertisements to promote E recycling?

- Online advertisements on platforms like Instagram or YouTube etc.

-By creating a Instagram Page about your message about E-recycling can help people around us to encourage them about e-waste management. This kind of encouragement may be able to spread awareness to help NEA to promote their program.

-They could promote the message on social media to get teens started with E-waste management. I also feel like they could go around primary schools to educate them, it’s better to start from young! Then it will be easier for kids to build up the habit.

-They can promote via instagram, go to people’s houses and tell them more about this scheme and tell them more about recycling. The benefits of recycling e-waste. They should go the extra mile.
