The song tells about a girl struggling as she is questioning what her true identity is, the challenges of how can she express her true self and what she feels on the inside. This is obviously a direct attack on The industrial revolution and its consequences... cough excuse me uhh what i mean is this a cry and symbolism of how most people treat the women or maybe even the common man's mental health. How they neglect and dismiss their problems and in return, causing even further deterioration. This however is not the way how to treat and how to take care of it in a proper manner. One should provide proper care and listen and acknowledge one's problems and in return could give a proper solution no matter what their gender is.

In the song the girl finds it difficult to express her true self, that you cannot fool yourself, it states that no matter how hard you try to hide the real you , you are aware of the reality and that this is not who you really are. You still need to make an effort to reveal your true self to the world, even if you find it difficult to express yourself. The song Reflection discusses the challenges women face when it comes to expressing themselves because they are afraid that others won't accept them for who they are. The message of the song is to be genuine and not let fear of criticism or comments from others get in the way of who you, since it will just cause you to feel frustrated or stressed.

Reflection" by Christina Aguilera is a powerful song that delves into themes of self-discovery, identity, and empowerment, which are often central to feminist discourse. In the song, Aguilera expresses feelings of introspection and self-awareness, as she grapples with societal expectations and pressures placed upon women. Aguilera's exploration of self-image and the desire to break free from the confines of societal beauty standards resonates with feminist ideas of challenging traditional gender roles and advocating for women's autonomy. Additionally, the lyrics of "Reflection" highlight the importance of self-acceptance and embracing one's true identity. Aguilera's journey towards self-realization can be seen as a metaphor for the broader feminist struggle for equality and empowerment. By asserting her right to define herself on her own terms, Aguilera embodies the spirit of feminist resistance against oppression and discrimination. Moreover, "Reflection" can be interpreted as a feminist anthem of empowerment and liberation. As Aguilera navigates the complexities of self-identity and societal expectations, she asserts her autonomy and rejects the constraints imposed upon her by the patriarchy. This theme of self-empowerment aligns with feminist principles of agency and self-determination, encouraging women to define themselves on their own terms and resist the oppressive forces that seek to control and diminish them. Overall, "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera offers a powerful critique of gender norms and celebrates the strength and resilience of women in the face of societal pressures.

The song Reflection by Christina Aguilera shows women are forced to put masks and act someone who aren't them to look good/perfect/well-manned to others and to exceed their expectations. They put such a show and fooled everyone that even themselves can't recognize their own reflection. Women put a wall that no one can break through to see their true nature, they hide their feelings and suffer alone. They can be selfless putting their happiness and desires aside so others can admire them as perfect and special. The song also shows that women are trying their best to rise in the area of reputation and social status where women and men are not equal or in other words men are more powerful than men in terms of social status.

But deep down inside, women are yearning for freedom. A freedom where they can show who they truly are, freedom to open their hearts and express their true feelings and emotions and hoping their voice can be heard. Moreover, they wanted to be treated equally,to be appreciated just by the way they are, wanted to be loved and acknowledge even if they're imperfectly perfect.

Christina Aguilera's song "Reflection" is about self-discovery and the battle to present oneself to the outside world as authentic. The idea of projecting a false image of oneself while concealing the real you is discussed in the first stanza, which can lead to dissatisfaction when your genuine self is not recognized. The reflecting image and the wish for it to reflect the true self are at the heart of the chorus. The second verse discusses the pressure to live up to social expectations but also the will to defy them and find true love. The bridge emphasizes how important it is for people to be authentic and not conceal their genuine emotions or ideas out of concern for other people's opinions.

In conclusion, the song presents the issue of self-identity, expressing the way she feel about wanting to show the world, to be seen and accepted for who we truly are instead of pretending as someone she is not just because of societal expectation regarding their beliefs, traits, and some attitudes of 'supposed' to be a woman.

Christina Aguilera's song called "reflection" demonstrates the struggles faced by all women. It explores how we find ourselves, discover who we truly are, and deal with society's traditional views on women's appearance. All women try to find themselves while dealing with what society expects from them. This shows how society and the media influence how women see themselves. The lyrics "Who is the girl I see, staring straight back at me?," express the struggle of meeting society's standards and self-realization. It's about someone who are trying to be themselves in a world where they feel pressured to fit in. The singer wonders, who they really are when they look in the mirror, hoping to see their true self reflected. It's about being real and figuring out who you are, even when society expects you to be someone else.

Cristine Aguilera wants to help and support women to feel good about who they are, even when many people expect a lot from them. It's important for us to accept our differences and don't let what others think affect us. After all, being your own reflection means being proud of the unique person you are. It's about valuing yourself and knowing your worth. Know your values and goals and don't let other people dictate how you should be. The important message shared by the song is to accept oneself as a woman and encourages individuals to embrace their true selves with confidence, because as they say "Yes, you are a woman, but not just a woman.” Always remember, no matter what you are, no matter what yourself is. Be confident and express your true self. Be strong and show courage at all times. Just remember, you are enough and you are different.

The line "Look at me. You may think you see. Who I really am. But you'll never know me" suggests that the character Mulan is not easily defined by others' perceptions. This aligns with the feminist literary criticism idea of challenging the patriarchal norms that limit women's self-expression and identity.

The song also emphasizes Mulan's strength and determination, as she sings, "I'll make a way out of no way. I'll make a way out of no way." This line showcases Mulan's agency and her ability to overcome obstacles, which is a key aspect of feminist literary criticism.

The song "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera is about struggling to express and find our real identity. And hiding our trueself of what we really feel about how hard it really is to show and express of who we really are, so that's why our only choice was to hide our true self and hide it with a mask that we wear, in my understanding this mask means that it is "Behind the Beauty of a smile" that even if it's hard, they will keep trying to hide it and still keep being strong but once you can't hold it anymore, then let it be, let it out because behind every sweet smile there is always a bitterness sweet lies and in the first stansa of the song it says "Look at me, you may think you see who I really am but you'll never know me" we can say that nobody really knows the real us, nobody knows how many times we've cried when no one's watching. Nobody knows how many times we've pretended that we're fine, Nobody knows who we really are and Nobody knows of when will our true self will show but even so we should still embrace our own identity, defy what the society think and present the real true self of us to the world. The song Reflection is truly beautiful and powerful, but at the same time it is sad and longing because you keep concealing the real you and keep pretending to be someone else who isn't even you. We must not cage our own emotion just because we are restrained on showing it, if we really want our own freedom we must learn to fight for it and let others express how they also feel.
