In this lesson we worked on 2 different tasks. The first was the a warm up exersize (space bounce) and the other was the main part of the lesson (The great game of power, created by Augusto Boal).

In the Space Bounce the whole class stood in a cicrle and one of was placed in the centre. They where instruced to do an anything and freeze once the intrustor had spoken freeze, then someone else came in and change it. They where then told freeze after a bit and the person who had started in the centre then left and the next person came in till everyone had gone. When I first came my parent in this was kneeling, like she was mourning or exsaming something, and I came in telling her brother was dead. This became slightly messed up when as just before it ended I said I her brother was better in bed. In the first time we did this I took to much control of the scene and meant my perant couldn't do much with what I had given them. I could improve this by allow in more ideas and working with what I was given by them, another way is being more open with the origanal idea I gave to them.

The second time round in the game we where told we could say freeze and change the scene. I froze it when my parent was holding a picture frame or something simalar and smashed within a second of it starting. Then I keep give my parent lots of gems from a safe and piling them apon it. The biggest fault was the same as the first and that was taking control of the scene and I need to improve it.

After warming up we did The Great Game Of Power. This was created by Augusto Boal and was used to help power understand power and how it can be given and taken. To do this game we had 5 chairs, a table and a bottle of water and had to use it all. The majority of the class made the lead chair surroned by the others or had it facing them all but my idea was different. I place the four chairs down holding up the table and one was leaning against them as they did the work, the reason I did this was to give the idea of modern life. In morden day people are worried about being watched and not having their rights given to them. I took this idea and made it into my piece which made it stand out for it was blended into a single object rather than two or more sperate objects, this made it feel more organic and real to me. If I was to improve it I would place the lead chair on top of the table to make even clearer what was going on.

To summerise, I need to improve how I take control of the scene and listening to others. This is needed because in a theatre company has to work in unison and listen to others, rather than have a single leader within the group
