         <description><![CDATA[<div>Federal budget: The financial situation limited the President's ability to have major policy programs, so he created an agenda that included&nbsp; volunteerism, education reforms and anti-drugs.&nbsp;<br><br>The Americans with Disability Act: It forbade discrimination on disability in employment, transportation and public accommodations.<br><br>Clean Air Act: Environmental protection. Its purpose was to reduce urban smog, to curb acid rain and to eliminate the toxic chemicals from industries. This also encouraged to create an association called the (EPA) Environmental Protection Agency. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Iraq and Afghanistan: The he took place in his office he had two wars going on, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. His purpose to stop war was to remove troops from the war in 2009 and he successfully removed during his presidency the number of troops from 160,000 to 150 in 2012, in Iraq.&nbsp;<br><br>In Afghanistan, he changed the military strategy so the troops from Afghanistan would defeat the Taliban by their own so they could keep the extremist Taliban regime from recovering power and allowing al Qaeda to use the country as a base for terrorism against the U.S and its allies.&nbsp;<br><br>Syria and ISIS (2014): Obama decided to not to launch missiles strikes in Syria in support of troops fighting the regime of the dictator Bashar al-Assad even though he used chemical weapons against civilians. The president underestimated the danger of the Islamic State incursions into Iraq and Syria. He planned to destroy the ISIL with a counterterrorism strategy. Two weeks he issued to call troops to fight the ISIS and in 2016 there were more troops (5,000) in Iraq with the mission of fighting ISIS.&nbsp;<br><br><br>Iran Nuclear Agreement and Trade Policy: In 2013, Obama started to negotiate with Iran and in 2015 it became an agreement designed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons for removing the United Nations economic sanctions.&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;In 2014, Obama reported diplomatic relations with Cuba and he visited the country in 2016.&nbsp;<br><br>In 2014, the president reached an agreement with China to reduce carbon emissions (climate agreement). These laid to a foundation for the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris in 2015, to get other countries to agree to the monitor emissions and plan to reduce them. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A paraplegic man called Jeffry Gorman was arrested and he got moved to Kansas, to a police station in a van which it was not accommodate for disable people.&nbsp;<br><br>He got moved from his wheelchair to a bench in the van. During the ride, he fell to the floor. That caused him injuries that made him unable to work full time. &nbsp;<br><br>He sued some police officers from Kansas for discriminating him of his disability and violating the&nbsp; Disability Act 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 for failing to maintain policies for the arrest and transportation of people with disability.&nbsp;<br><br>A jury compensated him for the damages. The District Court&nbsp; hold that they were unavailable in private suits under the Disability Act and the Rehabilitation Act. The Court of Appeals found punitive damages under a general rule that absent clear direction to the contrary by Congress federal courts, they have the power to award any relief for violation of any right.&nbsp;<br><br>The question made in the case was: May punitive damages be awarded in a private cause of action brought under the Disability Act of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act 1973.&nbsp;<br><br>The decision was delivered by the Justice Antonin Scalia. The decision and answer to the question was, no, because important damages may not be awarded in private suits under the Civil Rights Act , it follows may not be awarded by the Disability Act and the Rehabilitation Act. </div>]]></description>

It began as a bookstore, in idea pushed in discussion with John Ingram and Keyur Patel.&nbsp;<br><br>In the first 2 months, the company sold to all the United States and to 45 other countries, earning 20,000$ a week.&nbsp;<br>The name Amazon was because Bezos saw it on the dictionary and he wanted a name exotic and different than the normal companies.&nbsp;<br>The logotype is with an A and a Z to explain that they sell all type of products from A to Z.&nbsp;<br><br>In October 1995 it was first announced to the public.&nbsp;<br><br>Now is a company that provides online retail shopping and provides products to sellers, costumers, enterprises and content creators. It also provides marketing such as online advertising. It serves its costumers through the retails in websites focusing on price, selection and convenience. </div>]]></description>
