Provide examples of how digital technologies can support learners in meeting a wide range of goals in different contexts.

Digital technology helps students in so many ways across different places. In school, it can make boring lessons feel alive, like when a science simulation shows how a volcano really explodes instead of just reading about it. At home, kids can use YouTube or online tutorials to review and learn at their own speed, which takes away the pressure of feeling dumb for asking questions. When working with others, tools like Google Docs let everyone share ideas and feel like part of the team even if they aren’t in the same room. Learning apps and games also make practice less stressful because you get feedback right away and can keep trying until you get it. For kids with special needs, things like text-to-speech make them feel included and able to learn like everyone else. Even adults use online classes to pick up new skills that can change their future. And across the world, technology connects people from different countries, showing that learning isn’t just local but can also can bring people together

What is Learning Through Repetition, Deeper Learning with Models, Collaborative and Cooperative Learning, and Technology-Supported Self-Regulated Learning?

Learning Through Repetition – This is when you use tech to keep practicing something until you get it. Like using a math app that makes you do problems again and again until it feels easy.

Deeper Learning with Models – Tech can show you models or simulations so you actually see how stuff works. For example, watching how the solar system moves instead of just reading it. It helps you understand it on a deeper level.

Collaborative and Cooperative Learning – This is when tech lets students work together, like using Google Docs for a group project. Everyone adds their part and you learn from each other.

Technology-Supported Self-Regulated Learning – This is when you use apps or online tools to keep track of your own learning. Like checking your progress, setting goals, or rewatching a lesson if you didn’t get it the first time.

Justify how learning technology can support instruction.

Learning technology can support instruction because it gives teachers more ways to explain things and reach students. For example, videos and simulations can make hard topics easier to understand. Online tools also let teachers give instant feedback, so students know right away how they’re doing. Tech makes it easier for students to work together on projects, even if they’re not in the same place. It also helps teachers adjust lessons for different learners, like giving extra practice to someone who needs it or adding challenges for someone who’s ready to move ahead. Overall, technology helps teachers make learning more engaging, personal, and clear.

Describe Mayer’s Principles to Guide Multimedia Learning.

Mayer’s Principles explain how to design lessons with words and pictures so students learn better. The main ideas are: keep out extra stuff that distracts (coherence), show what’s important (signaling), don’t repeat the same info too much (redundancy), put words and pictures close together (spatial contiguity), show them at the same time (temporal contiguity), break lessons into smaller parts (segmenting), use spoken words with visuals instead of text (modality), and use both words and pictures instead of just words (multimedia).

Activity:
The teacher uses YouTube or an instructional video app to teach students how to do proper squats.

Description:
First, the teacher plays a short video that shows the correct squat form with tips (like keeping your back straight and knees behind your toes). Then, students practice in pairs while one student films the other on a tablet. Afterward, they compare their video to the model video to spot what they did right and what they need to fix.

Why it works:
The video gives students a clear example to follow, and recording themselves helps them actually see their form instead of just guessing. It makes the learning more interactive and helps them improve faster
