They say it's very childish and cringey, but that's okay because that's their own opinion. When I talk about it I can hear people whispering bad things about it. Last year, I was just walking down the hall about to go to lunch, I would have my manga on top of my binder and some kids my grade start calling my name and say "No offense, but I just despise anime".  Most of the time I would ignore them and say "No offense taken".  mean i get it that used to be my opinion, but right now it's theirs.

 People end up thinking you as an outcast for having a different opinion, which is great because you get to stand out and nobody thinks of you as the same as most people.

Me and my friends would normally just talk about anime, but we're also that one group who talks about anime and almost everything loudly. We don't get the center of attention, but we are very noticeable. When we get to go outside during lunch, we would try to see who can reach the wall the highest, and yell everywhere ,especially spoilers.
In our opinion,  we like anime a lot and being loud.
People don't think of us weird in a bad way, but not in a normal way. Often, people will give us compliments of us being weird and without us it would be quiet.
