Based on the video, I don’t think schools can be equal if students are separated merely on the basis of skin color. For example, the narrator of the video stated, that black people went to court to gain rights for black people to go to schools, and get the appropriate material. This supports my claim because if we had to go out of our way and protest and go to court just to go to school, it shows that the system was not equal. Thats why I chose my claim.

For example, the narrator of the video stated, black students had worse schools than whites with equipment, and money. They wouldn’t have the proper education and that teachers won’t be paid enough as white teachers. This proves that white students would have a better education than black students. That’s why I chose my claim.

Based on the video, I don't think schools can be equal if students are separated merely on the basis of skin color. For example, the narrator of the video stated that the black schools had a lot of less stuff than the white school didn’t have. For example books, pencils, paper, etc. The video also stated that Linda Brown tried to go to a white school which was closer to her house but they didn’t let her go because of the color her skin. So she had to walk a lot of miles to go to the colored school. That’s why I think that schools can not be qual even if students are separated merely on the basis of skin color.

Me personally I think that schools can’t be equal if they are separated based on their skin color because the whole point of being equal in this case is to be together in one school no matter what skin color people have. Also based on the video white people had better supplies than the black people.I also think it wasn’t equal because Linda Brown lived near a school for white kids which they did not accept her in so she was forced to walk to another school which was miles away from her home, separate was considered equal at the time which wasn’t fair for some people.

Based on the video, I believe schools cannot be equal if students are separated merely on the basis of skin color. For example, the narrator of the video stated, that blacks fought for their rights to not be segregated by whites. If students are separated in school then they wont be taught the same as whites are being taught. In the video is also stated that schools are equal and have the same qualities as whites. If they are equal then why can’t they come together and learn the same. Thurgood Marshall made a statement that segregation is breaking the 14th amendment. This supports my claim because if it’s breaking the 14th amendment then it should be violated. Also African Americans were fighting for equal rights so that they can go work wherever they like without having to be segregated. That’s why I chose my claim.

Ethan Aimable According to the video, I don’t think schools can be equal if students are separated merely on the basis of skin color. For example, the narrator of the video stated, that the blacks fought for their equal rights so they would not be segregated by whites. Also If students are separated in school then they won’t be taught the same as whites are being taught because most black teachers probably didn’t have the skills to teach students. Thurgood Marshall made his statement that segregation is breaking the 14th amendment . Also African Americans fought for their equal rights so they can go work wherever they like without having to be segregated. Lastly the video says that white schools hade much higher qualities than black schools.

Also the whites will have more rights then the blacks and it just wouldn’t be fair on how the whites get to have newer things and the blacks get the old things. It isn’t right how the whites have more control then what the blacks do for example, they have fancy parks, schools and the blacks have old equipment from parks, and there school is old.

Based on the video, I highly disagree that schools can be equal if students are seperated poorly on the basis of skin color. This is because the narrator of the video mentioned I say and paraphrase “Govenor Earl Warren believed that segregation was unconstitutional. He decided to make an unanimous argument about it and the Supreme Court foucsed more on the ill impact of segregation then the public education that it offers to black and white people. Educational facilities are inherently unequal, and Linda Brown, who changed the board of education afterwards, convinced the court to remove school segregation. ” This supports my claim because it’s true, the impact of segregation is very harsh and because of this, many people have disagreed that segregation should keep going because not only because it’s unfair, but it also keeps white people to think that black people should not be together with them at all. I mostly prefer for it to be equal if POC and white people are together in schools and not segregated based on their skin color.
