Hi Dawn! I just wanted to express my gratitude in meeting and conversing with me during Hill Day, the Post Hill Day Meet and Greet, and yesterday's meeting on advocacy. So many great things were said about you from Dr. Kitching and Jill prior to meeting you and all I can say is, you lived up to it and so much more! Your energy is so radiating and after attending Hill Day, I am so much more interested in advocacy. I had even mentioned to a few professors that I am highly interested in participating in AOTPAC, which was why I was looking forward to your talk yesterday! Thank you so much for taking the time to speak to us! I know it was quite late for you, but you came with such infectiously positive energy! It was interesting to learn about how to be an advocate within the OT profession and how advocacy works. For instance, I never thought about how our guest speaker events for SOTA were considered advocacy. Thank you for expanding my thoughts on advocacy!
I hope to meet you in person one day and chat about the awesome things that you do 😊

Thank you Dawn!! I really appreciate you staying up late to talk about AOTPAC and breaking down policies for us students to understand. For me, getting into policies and understanding what’s happening politically in the world of OT is intimidating, but you really presented it in an amazing way that made it easier to grasp! You also bring a wonderful energy, even through a screen, I hope one day we will be able to meet in person :)
