En Un mundo nuevo se nos presenta un mundo apocalíptico en el que una enfermedad ha provocado la muerte de todos los niños y adultos, tan solo dejando con vida a los adolescentes, que luchan por sobrevivir, pero todo acaba cuando cuando cumplen 18 años, mueren.
Jefferson es el joven líder del Clan de Washington Square y, junto con sus compañeros, como Donna, ella es como la medica del grupo, sabia algo porque antes de que murieran los adultos su madre era madico,
Todos deberán encontrar el antídoto contra la enfermedad que ha arrasado a gran parte de la humanidad. Nueva York esta dividida en bandas adolescentes.Y un único objetivo: sobrevivir.
