The book lord of flies is about a group of kids who were trying to escape the war in their home land in an airplane and landed on a deserted island. None of the kids knew each other or had ever been in a situation like this. They were forced to provide for meals for their selves and find ways to stay alive. The boys were between the ages 10 and 17. The older kids had to look after the loose young ones and act as if they were their parents. The boys became brothers in a sense. Brothers argue and fight but love each other at core. They began to make sides and war over who would be the leader of it all.

This book has a lot of plot twist that you would never think could happen. The boys began to do cruel things to each other that you could not imagine. The boys who started off as best friends began to spread apart and join separate groups. The groups began to go out at night and hunt for food but if an apposing was spotted there would be a bloody tragic ending. The fiction book is relatable because it shows how much hatred can be towards you even if you try your hardest to make people happy. Characters like Simon and Piggy meant no harm to anyone but tried their hardest to help and ended up being thrown off a cliff. I can connect with this book because it seems in real life you can always try your hardest to do something for someone and still get back stabbed.

I personally like this cover because of the designs and colors used in it. This cover symbolizes a lot because capturing a big in the book makes everyone treat you like you a blessing to have on the team.

Quote 1: "'We've got to have rules and obey them. After all, we're not savages. We're English, and the English are best at everything.'" Chapter 2, pg. 40

This quote represents how confident they were when they first arrived to the island. They everything all planned out but it didn't go so well.

Quote 2: "'Maybe there is a beast....maybe it's only us.'" Chapter 5, pg. 80

This quote references the beast. The beast in this book was their inner fears there was nothing or no one on the island but them. They began to hear things and see things because of their childish imaginations this is the part in the book where they began to mature and turn from children to men.

Quote 3: "'We musn't let anything happen to Piggy, must we?'" Chapter 7, pg. 106

This quote represents how doing the right thing was in some of the kids nature but the others affected that. After awhile some of the nice boys became the most evil.

I recommend this book to anyone in the 8th grade or higher. It's a good fiction read that teaches some life lessons but the again everyone interprets things differently. It's good for people who like books with huge plot twists. It can be labeled a thriller book . The characters interesting personalities deeper than just a book.

I chose this song because it sounds dark and like mysterious. When you read the book this is the kind of music you imagine playing.
