The Scientific method and Science inquiry are extremely similar. They both require the learner to ask a question, and then follow a set of steps to find the answer to said questions.

Using Science inquiry in the class, actually facilitates the learning process in a way that stimulates the brain causing learning to happen in a stimulation way. Having to question, and do research helps the student learn.

Do microscopic changes have macroscopic effects?

A change that can be seen with the naked eye, has a profound effect on a microscopic level. It can effect the atoms and molecules of something. On both level, this is how we describe matter. Atoms can bond to other atoms and form atomic bonds which change the structure of something. The same way when heat is applies to ice, it melts and the state of matter changes from a solid to liquid.

From the begging of my semester untill now, how has my scientific perspective changed?

I have always loved Science, and it has always reigned as my favorite subject. Once that I feel very knowledgeable about.

However, I did not realize the impact that scientific inquiry has on students. Having them form a genuine question then going through the steps to find the answer is a real way of learning. Going thought those steps stimulates their brain, and deep learning occurs. This process is real learning, and in a way the student wont forget. I feel as if we could apply this to all subjects, then our students would greatly benefit. Having them learn with this method is leaps and bounds more sufficient than the banking system education uses today.

Now that I understand the positive aspect of a student to question, I am trying to allow time to help my students come up with questions. Then give them ways to find the answers.

I, as an educator, am now starting to question things about our curriculum and local education practices. I want my students to learn, not just regurgitate facts that they will forget once the test is over. I want my mind to grow, and to be able to allow my students to use their brains in the right way.
