         <description><![CDATA[<div>I can understand Thorndike and Skinner's research studies.&nbsp;<br>Thorndike<br>Purpose: To see if there was a line between the associated learning in humans versus in animals, and how problem solving is approached by either side.<br>Procedure: Animal would be placed in the uncomfortable cahe.&nbsp;<br>The animal would have to either push a lever or a similar task to open the cage<br>after they got out, he would give a reward.&nbsp;<br>Each time the animal got out the latency would decrease because the animals start to respond the stimulus quickly<br>Latency- Delay from input to desired outcome: in this case, the cat's delay time from exiting the cage.&nbsp;<br>Results<br>The animals were able to find out how to solve the problems set for them which would be considered intelligent id the humans were able to do it. &nbsp;<br>Law of effect: How creatures could obtain habits.&nbsp;<br>THe time expected was decreasing over more time or trials.&nbsp;<br>THe cat's correct response was rewarded by the cat escaping the box and getting the fish left outside the box<br>"Practice makes habit" - law of exercise<br>This was an ethical experiment.&nbsp;<br>No animals were harmed<br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Garcia: Conditioned Taste Aversion<br>Procedure: Rats made sick but not given the sweet drink (saccharin)<br>The rats will be given saccharin and then 30 minutes later will be exposed to x Irradiation and become sick<br>Results: THe rats were given the drink that they enjoyed but associated with the sickness they did not enjoy, even though the drink and the illness were separated within 30 minutes to an hour apart.&nbsp;<br>Ethical Guidelines<br>It was both ethical and unethical<br>Unethical: rats are exposed to x irradiation<br>Ethical: Rats were fed<br>Garcia demonstrated that types of neural stimuluses does have an influence on the conditioning processes.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>Watson: Little Albert Experiment<br>The Purpose of this study is to study Freud's theory about biological and instinctual processes with Watson's behaviorist theory.&nbsp;<br>Watson recruited a baby albert that was testsed mental and physically healthy.&nbsp;<br>The baby was introduced with various objects.<br>Neural Stimuli:<br>EVery time he touched the item, he was introduced with a bang.<br>ALbert then began to generalize his responeses and react with fear to other similar objects such as a rabbit, dog etc<br>Results<br>Albert became terrified<br>Proved that emotional behavior can be conditioned through stiumulus response techniques<br>Created Methodological behaviorism: Psychology should be concerned with behavior&nbsp;<br>This was unethical Alber was exposed to loud banging sounds.
