For example, whenever Pig walks onto the bus, everyone covers their seat, so he can't sit next to them. Towards the middle of the film, a new kid named Fox, walks onto the bus and sits next to Pig. After that day, Pig and Fox became friends. They started talking and hanging out with each other. The theme is 'Darkness is but a figment of your imagination under closed eyes: for when you open them, you see your true friends at your side.' This truly represents this short film for many reasons. One is that the little pig is feeling isolated and is under a lot of pressure to keep the town safe. Not just that but, the pig is lonely and is bullied constantly until he meets a kind fox which the pig befriends. But when he thinks the fox has betrayed him by calling him a dirty p(ig), him feel like the 'darkness' is coming over him. Pig lets everything come crashing down and lets himself fall into somewhat of a depression. But then he realizes that fox was saying that they were dirty PALS. As the film develops Pig thinks that Fox betrayed him when kids were laughing at a picture fox drew that stated, "Dirty P." Pig immediatley assumes that it says dirty pig, and feels as if he has been betrayed. After Pig reads what that the paper actually says, "Dirty Pals" and there is a picture of Pig and Fox. He used be sad and had a dark thought of life because he never had a friend. He was in charge of keeping the darkness away from attacking him. In the middle of the film, Pig finds Fox's book that he left in class. The next morning he left it next to his seat on the bus. Fox sat next to him. Then, the friendship that got him away from darkness awoke. Then, Pig thought the friendship was torn after all they have been through. After school, he saw a crowd crowding over Fox while he was drawing. Pig saw "Dirty P..." so immediately though it said "Dirty Pig" when it really said "Dirty Pals. Inside the bus to school, the fox sits next to the pig, which demonstrates hope in pig. Later in the story, pig learns that fox is also making fun of him.
