Before the age of computer technology there was steel. Before that there was metals like iron and copper. Yet before metal craft there was rudimentary stone and wood tools that usually had little uses. This is the age of some of the early hominids. They could scrape rocks together to make sharp points and ragged edges which they could use to cut prey or fall trees.

Archaeologists have discovered tools that date 2 . 5 to 2. . 6 million years old. Howeversome people are controversial and say that tool use started about as early as 3.39 million years ago. Further evidence will be required to back this evidence however.
